I have been experiencing very long login times in the past hour, and when I do get in I frequently find the connection drops. I get stuck on the next loading screen when I warp between zones, or players around me just start running in place. At first, I thought it might be a return of the 12.0.5 launch woes, when Silvermoon hit a massive lag spike whenever the Void Assault finale popped. But, it’s much more pervasive.
My internet browsing doesn’t seem affected by such slowdowns. Is anyone else experiencing this lagfest?
Nope, seems like a personal problem. Might wanna reinstall WoW or something drastic like call your ISP.

Try rebooting your computer and if that doesn’t work then scan and repair wow or reboot your internet router.

Yeah I’ve just rebooted, if this is indeed a problem on my end (despite other internet not having issues). It may be something about communication from me to the WoW servers. How would I scan / repair WoW? This has only been happening for about a hour.
Edit: I found the gear next to PLAY, I am scanning now.

Did you install any new addons from a less than reputable site?
Good thought but no, they’re all from CurseForge and I use very few addons, all of them pretty popular and which I have used for months to years. I could try updating them, though!
Edit: Scan and Repair did seem to find something, and although things seemed better for a moment after the “Update” the problem persists. I have run a speed test–986 Mbps download, 7 Mbps upload (and that does seem a bit strange). May be something with the local internet. Hopefully it will resolve in time, too bad my profession alts will miss some patron work orders but c’est la vie.

its definitely the seven mips up. Are you United states or canada? I read somewhere canadians benefited from a VPN, because it re-routed their server pathway.
I know it’s your uplink at issue, but you may just want to check your antivirus firewall and make sure the world of warcraft folder is still allowed, It seems to get blocked whenever we patch on some antivirus brands.
They are not, you’re just unlucky.
