Servers Feel Empty?

It´s weird,

sometimes I see no players and then we are like 20 on the same spot. Anyone noticed how you can take the ship from UC and all of a sudden the entire ship is full, while on departure you were alone on it.

It’s even based on true events.

Interesting, I didn’t interpret it as the number of layers being different from zone to zone. I thought it meant that players would be moved between layers to get more PvP balance when they enter a zone.

That’s terrible and if you can’t see why you’re pretty short sighted.

If you watch people run out of a capital city you’ll see an example. You can’t see them leave, they will vanish at the entrance or gates

I get that, what I mean is that there are the same 10 layers in every zone, even the ones that aren’t populated enough to require them. It’s always been like that in classic no? Even if people are made to swap layers between zones that doesn’t affect the average # of players by layer, unless the algorithm would try to ‘pack’ a few layers in the zone instead of merely balancing them.

No this is different. Usually you would stay in a a layer and they would start a new one if it becomes too populated. Now they want to move people from layer to layer depending on the zone population. Like how shards work in retail.

So you could be layered in to an empty zone, or full zone. You won’t really know

That streamers guild is on defias pillager, so it’s dead dead lol.

Because they have layers.

You prefer it this way. Trust me.

Once the wave hits 60 they’ll lower the layers to encourage world pvp/group the population.

The Hardcore server definitely feels like it’s a low population server. It’s a bummer, really. I feel like I missed out on the whole “new fresh excitement” over it.

I wish they would cut back on all the layering.
