Servers Feel Empty?

Layering is across the world, or at least continent, not by zone, so if they layer to make the most popular zones (say, westfall this weekend) playable, then the less popular ones will feel empty.

well ask your guildmates for an invite to a different layer i guess :expressionless:

Might try not hallucinating. Last night i woke up at 2 AM and couldnt get back to sleep, logged on for a few minutes. There were about 40 people in Brill.

40 people. In Brill. At 2 AM.

These threads are just doompill ragebaiting. OP is going in the forever box.

Dreamscythe has been mostly cozy

But im also 35 so I’m a bit ahead of the rest

Is this how it was done in 2004 too?

no, but it ain’t 2004 anymore :expressionless: some changes are expected

So like enchanting vellums right? :joy: :face_in_clouds:

no vellums :expressionless: enchanters needing to sell directly encourages pro-social behavior.

“pro-social behavior” Is that what spamming is called nowadays?

whispering “plz give me x enchant”
“okay sure, meet me at y”
“thx so much, here’s a tip”
“no problem, please come again!”
:expressionless:
these interactions are important

It’s more like,

“LF x enchant” spamming in trade.
~20 minutes later~
“I have said enchant, your mats or mine?”
“My mats”
“What you tipping”
“2g”
“No thanks, not enough gold.”

These interactions are annoying and in no way beneficial to actual gameplay. Tipping culture is even extremely toxic in this game just like RL.

I don’t become besties with people that make things. I become besties that share the leveling experience with me. As in quest and do content with.

That doesn’t make a difference. The “new” layer system “balances” from zone to zone. So people disappear and re appear for no reason. Also they are restricting layer hopping.

Layering is now zone based, not across the world or even continent, it’s a new “test” they are trying. It’s in the patch notes

this made up scenario does support your point for sure

A lot of the zones I have been in on Nightslayer Horde have had maybe 1 or 2 people max in the same area as me at a time.

It def doesn’t feel packed in any way.

It’s nice to level without anyone tagging the mobs I need but it feels weird when you go to an area and ALL the enemies you need are roaming around and nobody is in sight.

Obvious troll post

20 minutes? What backwater are you looking in? I yell it once in Org i get 15+ whispers. Not even /2, just yell.

It was morning time?

Ill admit the zones I have been in have felt pretty bare save for only a handful of people. Though I believe you are right. It does have to do with the new layering system. The only time I had encountered a lot of people as some claim was day 1 before the layering took effect.

Only time I still see a bunch of people are outside dungeon instances. Although LFG/Trade chat is always brimming with people

Layering and megaservers are terrible. There should be a couple more servers and only have 1 layer. That would be a great Vanilla experience.
