Okay, I have noticed something. My computer has been on download the better part of 2 days now. Last night it was an hour. Today it was a couple of hours this morning and now, again, it’s an hour at 9:40 at night (CDT). I want to play, this is getting to be a problem.
I don’t know if anyone else is having this trouble. The Realm Status says Argent Dawn (US) is up, so what’s going on?
Can we just play? Do the upgrades at 3 a.m or something?
You probably know this already but there’s maintenance scheduled for tomorrow for an hour from 7 - 8 pst.
It’s on the launcher. So instead of actually getting an update you might just be lagging badly with the game, launcher, whatever it is. I’m not tech savvy so don’t take my word for it but that’s what I’d assume.
I don’t want to be that person but… did you fully close the app and relaunch bnet? Or reboot the pc?
Sometimes that’s all it takes.
If so, try this. Right click on your shortcut to open the launcher. Properties → compatability → Look for "Run this program as an administrator → check box → apply
If it doesn’t let you do it through the shortcut, go to the folder bnet is installed in. “C:\Program Files (x86)\Battle.net\Battle.net Launcher.exe” is the default location unless you changed it. And go through the steps above to set ‘run as admin’.
Once done. Launch bnet through your new shiny, newly oiled launcher.
This tends to fix a many number of issues with bnet AND the games under it. (For extra measure, you can repeat the steps for each launcher of every game you have problems with)
