Servers Down Again? Give Players Free Game-Time

In online gaming, server stability is critical to player satisfaction. When Blizzard’s servers go offline, it directly impacts players who invest time and money into the game. Therefore, Blizzard should consider rewarding affected players with free game time as a gesture of goodwill.

Players invest significant sums into Blizzard games, and server outages diminish the value of that investment. Offering free game time acknowledges this investment and shows that Blizzard values its players as more than just revenue sources.

Compensating players for service interruptions fosters trust and loyalty. By addressing outages transparently and offering compensation, Blizzard demonstrates its commitment to player experiences, reinforcing the idea that it cares about its community.

Server stability directly affects the quality of the game experience. Free game time not only acknowledges inconveniences but also allows players to enjoy the game fully when servers are stable, enhancing overall satisfaction.

Blizzard can set a positive example in the gaming industry by holding itself accountable for server reliability. Compensating players fosters a culture of respect and empowerment, encouraging higher standards across the board.

Frequent outages can lead to negative sentiment and damage to the company’s reputation. By proactively offering free game time, Blizzard can turn potential backlash into positive engagement and demonstrate a commitment to quality and customer care.

Rewarding players with free game time during server outages is an investment in community and trust. It not only acknowledges player contributions but also enhances their experience and sets a positive precedent in the industry. Such a gesture can help Blizzard build a loyal and engaged player base.

Didn’t read all that. Probably something that’s already been said 100000000 times already.

I abridged my post for you and others who considered it too much to read.

a few days of downtime amounts to like $1.50 dude :expressionless: you’re not gettin any refunds

It’s Friday afternoon. Get a job and you won’t even notice the games down.

I agree, refunds should be provided.

He literally mentioned: and i quote: “free game time as a gesture of goodwill”.

As i said before, the problem, (for the company), with prolonged server downtime, is the fact that many players, who have managed their scheduled around gaming during that time, will in many cases, open other gaming platforms, or games.
There’s always a click moment for those deciding to leave WoW, (again).

Is this whats going on? I cant even access my account

sir, this is a business, not a charity :expressionless:

Are we not entitled to compensation for being robbed of play-time which we paid for?

I don’t understand why we wouldn’t be.

not really :expressionless: you agreed to unscheduled downtime in the ToS

Why would they giving you time free when A. It’s in the ToS that servers can and will go down often and B. You keep paying for it

Sounds like a you issue

Kinda exactly what the forums are for though for when the game is down, I’m pro complaining about the game on the game forums, daring I know.

Another mass DC, server offline Doomhowl HC, causes hundreds to lose their characters AGAIN. I lost my 60 priest like this a few days ago, now the 35 rogue while I was standing in stealth and dc’d. The lack of action on Blizzard’s behalf and failure to step in and do what’s right by rolling back these unjustified deaths caused by their failure to uphold the servers and service that was promised to be provided for when we paid our monthly subscription is unforgivable. I’m cancelling my subscription until I see results from the developers and/or those with authority to make things right. I will no longer invest my time, energy, and money to a company that doesn’t care about their player base. gg

They already have.

I got 2 days free access few months ago when something like this happened.

lol sure :expressionless: i’ve never heard of such a thing

I’m pretty sure I wasn’t the only one.

If I remember correctly, it was during a particularly long maintenance time…

But they reimbursed me with 2- or 3-days game time that was sent as a gift.

This was the point of my post. We deserve free game-time.
