It has come to my attention that there are people that intend to farm carapace fragments on low population servers and then server transfer characters to their main’s high population server to circumvent competition when farming fragments on high population servers. Is this allowed, or intentional? I truly think this is against the spirit of the Scarab Lord race, as it is using server transfers to get an advantage within the game.
I’m creating this post to get some visibility on this topic, and hopefully make Blizzard aware of this if they didn’t already know people have this intention. With the 90 day limitation on getting the mount if you server transfer, I’d think that transferring servers with the fragments with the same intention is just as egregious.
My server has 50+ scarab lord hopefuls, and this one individual might be able to use this loophole to get a marked advantage over everyone else. I hope this isn’t also the case on other servers as well.

While probably not intended, unless they roll enough people to out-farm full guilds on those low-population servers, It might not give them as much of an advantage as you might think.
I know in this instance in particular the individual is planning on spending real money to get people to farm for him on that server and to buy gold. Which is an entirely different topic on it’s own. This is obviously against TOS, but that doesn’t mean people wont be spending real money on this quest chain without repercussions.
Interesting assumptions, The only thing that isnt an assumption is the fact that Fairbanks will only have one Scarab Lord.

Well yes. The obvious violations of the TOS aside…
Where ever he goes there will be competition. Even low-pop servers can easily saturate the bugs in Silithus…only problem is that he will be competing against whole-guilds…and unless he’s going to hire a whole-guild’s worth of people it may not be as fruitful as he hopes.

This is the guy Blizzard, if you want to open up any kind of investigation on his acccount…

Blizzard has said that server transfers can open up at any time, without warning. I said in my post “this one individual might be able to use this loophole”. My main intention with this post was to give this issue visibility, as I’d hate to see this occur on any server, not just Fairbanks.
So you’re trying to accuse a person of a crime that they haven’t committed yet and may be physically impossible for the to commit?

He’s colluding with the opposing faction to shut people out if they don’t follow his and the other neckbeards rules.
Hence accusing someone of something that hasn’t been done.
My goal of this post was to talk about the issue of potentially being able to transfer fragments to other servers, on ANY server, not just Fairbanks. It was not my intention for this post to just turn into a Fairbanks drama thread, so I’m just going to stop responding to those comments.
You literally pointed a finger and told blizzard to investigate an individual. This aint looking too good on you buddy.
Again, regardless of how this makes me look personally, this is a legitimate issue that servers could face.
It doesn’t ‘make you look’ a certain way.
You are behaving in that manner and were called out for it. Pretty amazing cognitive dissonance.
That’s fair, I shouldn’t have reacted in that way and called him out personally, even though the first comment on this thread was one of his guild mates calling me a “trash can”.
It genuinely wasn’t my intention for this post to be directed at one individual, but to address a much larger issue multiple servers can face.
Like cross-faction collusion trying to exploit the system to get a ridiculous number of scarab mounts?
Only a baby spends money to flex his muscles.
Doesn’t matter. Someone who transferred in the last 90 days can’t into Scarab Lord.

if it’s a high pop sever it’s more less has a Restrictions that would keep them from coming back.
