If you have the game open, do you have to refresh it to see if servers come online or will it show as they come online?
If I recall correctly, they used to. Not sure about now.
I have seen in the last hour a small update applied to the game, so be wary if that is your plan.
Yes it will show online when it comes online, but if they push a hotfix/patch, then instead it will show “incompatible” and you’ll be forced to exit, wait for it to install the update, and now delayed yourself getting in by a few min or more (especially by then there will be inevitably a login queue)
It is never a good idea to keep the client open for a major patch for this reason alone… you’ll miss the install of the update (it wont download and/or install if you have the game client open) and get the incompatible message once the servers go live… while all those who were offline and waited at the bnet client instead had their updates pushed and installed while their clients were closed, before the servers went online.
