They said they were going to make changes to layering (time gate layer hopping). Maybe that’s what the shutdown is for.

I thought that was a hotfix that didn’t require a server shutdown let alone restart though.
They have to transplant all these livers back into the Goretusks.

Do you not read what happened yesterday…we had a Huge DDoS happening it messed up not only Classic but Retail got hit too…all servers were brought down yesterday …the mess went on for almost 6+ hours…

IF is also glitched, people are getting dismounted over Burning Steppes, boats are not reaching their destination but being ported back, and some people are unable to move their character without getting ported back to where they were standing.
Yeah happened to one of our guild mates, he couldn’t leave Kalimdor

Anyone have any idea how long the server is going to be shutdown for? 
That was yesterday.
To be fair, there has been a message at log in about this 1h maintenance since some stability was restored post DDOSing yesterday evening.

It’s for both classic and retail.
I hope they realize the overwhelming population of Classic players are working adults 30+ who are mostly only off on weekends. Doing maintenance on a weekend is a super bad idea for this product. Just saying.
