Every launch… Game has become a meme. You would think someone at Blizzard would know what they are doing by now and have a flawless launch… I know, I know I expect too much sorry
Maybe they’re trying to find the cause of the problem first? When it comes to computers and code it’s usually better to fix the problem, then restart everything.
restarts can’t increase capacity, so I’m not sure what you think that it would accomplish

they wont because of streamers, and twitch drops. They committed to a window they couldnt live by and now their player base has to suffer and they wont give a crap. enjoy the feldrake though

Why? They chose to launch it without a reset so it is meant to run without needing one. Since that’s the case, restarting the servers would probably break things worse if anything since something is going wrong as it is.
they dont want to disrupt the streamers. clearly.

Blizzard you would think this was your first day at work. Still after all these years very disappointing you still do not have it together. I think you owe some customers some money back for not being able to play a game we all pay for.
I’ve seen server restarts fix recurring problems. Right now, I’m have no one else around me and I’m lagging out and DCing every time I try to interact with a quest NPC. Loot lag is ridiculous, but at least it doesn’t DC me.
When, oh when, will people learn that it’s would’ve, the contraction for would have, not “would of”. “Would of” makes no sense in any situation. I’m not the grammar police, but this just sounds so ignorant that it makes my teeth grind.
As far as we can tell, the root issue is demand exceeding capacity.
If this is the case, all restarts would do is kick everyone offline, start a server queue, and not do anything to actually resolve the problem.
There is absolutely no excuse for this. How many expansions now have they had issues with servers crashing and lagging? How much do they make a month off our subscriptions?
Why haven’t they upgraded their servers to handle the expansion launch server stress?
There is no excuse. None.

have you ever observed a massive ocean faring ship list or capsize when struck by a massive wave?
The design of the ship is sound, it floats by displacing dihydrogen monoxide perfectly. but when the ocean is too much - which happens on occasion - the ship may list and stop functioning as it normally does.
