Server Reset at 8AM PST Intended?

As the title states, is this supposed to be an intended change? Or did they just forget Daylight Savings time was a thing?

Yes it’s intended. They don’t adjust for DST.

Servers used to always reset at 7AM PST. Has been that way for years…Why the difference now?

during daylight savings, for Eastern time (I live in Michigan) the reset hits at 11am. outside of DST, it’s 10am in my time zone. Has been this way as long as I’ve been paying attention to daily quests.

To be more technically accurate than above and “my time zone”, the servers always reset at 15:00 UTC. Those that live in areas that adjust for daylight savings will see the reset time change on their end, but it actually isn’t changing, we are.

Instance/WQ resets have always happened at 7A or 8A PST depending on daylight savings time. It’s been that way since MC weekly resets.

Servers have never adjusted for daylight saving. Most computers don’t even adjust for it internally, they just adjust the display of it for the user.

I am located at a place where we don’t use Daylight Savings.
The server reset time staying the same resulted in me showing up late for weekly raid.

Thank god I logged on at the time I thought it was 45 mins before our raiding time - they hadn’t pulled the first boss yet.
