Just curious about what the difference between regular and RP servers are. I have read up on them and they seem interesting and the stricter rules about chat are appealing though I am sure not all follow that.
However I am not actually much of a role player myself so don’t know if it would be a fit for me. I have nothing against it just don’t have much of a storytelling gene in me lol.
There isn’t very good moderation nowadays, it’s basically a server where there are others doing rp things vs normal servers where rp is not common. People usually have TRP3 profiles on rp servers and most normal servers don’t have people with profiles on that addon. I think all RP guilds are on RP realms, also, it’s okay not to be a storyteller if you just want to watch RP or play a minor role, that is fine too!
Just looking into it for a change for TWW. And I love watching or hearing RP I find it fascinating some of the stories some people can write up for there characters.
Seriously some of them could be fantasy writers and make a living at it. That’s just from m6 time in ffxiv which I don’t play anymore.
There used to be additional rules for RP-realms: appropriate naming conventions for your character, stricter rules on chat, etc. But they have largely been ignored over the years and see little, if any, enforcement.
Nowadays, the difference between Normal and RP realms is just the type of players and communities you’ll encounter.
Different naming policies and usually people are a bit nicer, in my experience, on RP servers. You don’t need to be a roleplayer to play on an RP server. We’re chill. We’ll still like you.
This is still one of them.
Naming policy was one of the reasons I was interested I find it annoying to see names like iswinghammers lol.
