This isn’t Retail. Comparisons to those servers are irrelevant.
to be fair they did just update the engine to the retail one, so idk if its that far off lol
It really isn’t. It shows that the servers are able to handle the load of an increase. Toss in the phasing that’s already there it’ll work just fine.
Phasing shouldn’t be an option for TBC servers, as it didn’t exist back then.
And yet we had phasing for months at the start of Classic and phasing is still active at least on Faerlina to some degree, there’s at least 2 different phases in Stormwind right now as both my toons are seperated despite standing in the same spot.
The servers at the beginning of Classic were upwards of 20 hours. They never learn lessons.
You cant even move servers right now. I went to try to go join my guild on the new server and its no longer available for classic.
Well I transferred to mankrik about 2 months ago and knew fully that I would be waiting in queues. To you people who choose mankrik from day 1 well you had the great experience of enjoying a full server from day 1 and now you get the full server experience of an xpac release. Transfer (helps out queues), quit (still helps out queues) or just don’t complain (helps our sanity). We all equally wait in queues.
WTH is with this insane que time on ManKirk being at almost 4k??
I’m not going to pay money on not being able to play the game when I want to play it.
This needs to be address Blizzard, if you expect people to play when your stuck waiting to get into the game with a 1hr+ wait time.
You give all this hype about the game and can’t even get in at a reasonable time to play it.
GG Blizz.
God. Even an hour is a small price to pay knowing you wont be whining about a dead server in a year.
This was supposed to be addressed with their “layering” technology. I guess not. 4k queue still.
Hasn’t this lesson been learned already? Stop dogpiling onto an already overcrowded realm and play somewhere else.
3k queue on Mankrik. Sure wish I could play retail while I wait.
Populated servers get queues. It’s like ya’ll don’t know this is gonna happen after we’ve been through this for like 2yrs now. It’s the first real day of pre-patch, everyone and their mom is on playing checking things out. Give it a week and your queue will probably go away till release day. And then it’s going to be even worse. Start thinking about what’s more important to you, sitting in queue or transferring. Or better yet get a remote desktop program on your PC to sit in queue for you.
Blizzard isn’t responsible for creating solutions to player created problems. One that players have a solution to infact.
open up the login, remove all caps, let there be lag.
There’s no lag with proper phasing, which is what Faerlina already has, please stop being ignorant with your replies.
Apparently they think any server not bursting at the seams is “dead”.
OMG is THAT why I’ve been in queue for Mankrik (where my ESTABLISHED CHARACTERS ARE) for over 30 minutes & still have 30 minutes to go??? People were saying early this morning that the streamer whose name begins with A was coming to Mankrik… I hope he leaves again.
I will admit that I did laugh over the ginormous queue time! - #NoChanges, amirite???
Egad. And this was 6 hours ago… I was 3,868 in queue when I logged in…
Same. As far as I know, there weren’t any on Mankrik until today.
While I feel you, I have to ask - Have you ever played ESO? This is truly a “You think you do…” request. Even if I end up waiting in queue for the full hour, it will still be less than loading screens FOR A SINGLE ZONE OR EVERYDAY LOG IN in ESO. That’s what a megaserver is like. (No, not always up to an hour, but those loading screens are STUPID long, like go take a bio, a shower, make dinner & get a cup of coffee while you wait to see your character list long.)
Do you mean that the choice of whether to take the character to BC or remain in Classic is gone? If so, good thing I wanted to try to play my new Shaman (although I did already transfer all but 2 characters to BC early this morning).
Not trying to offend or troll, but you should never have even been allowed to transfer to Mankrik at that point. No one should have, as the server was already full. This is a very sore point for the people who have been there since Day 1/very early on.
I see that you posted that from a level 60 character. One that you’ve played & leveled with, one that is established. How would you feel being told to quit whining and start over fresh on a different server?
Would be nice, wouldn’t it?
Right now, I’m just worried that by the time the queue pops, I’ll be timed out of the game for “inactivity”. ![]()
Edit: Clarity.
no force in this world or beyond harbors the strength to bend my knee…or stop me from being ignorant…not even the mighty Blizzard.
It’s been over an hour to get into Mankrik all day. It’ll fade away as the hype dies. TBC launch is gonna be funny tho
