Has server maintenance ever been “On Time” or as they originally posted without 100 time extensions?

They keep quitely updating the times… now 4 PM EST
Why it says “approximately” -Especially on days where there is a lot more updates, fixes, and such. This is nothing new.

Uh yes, there have been countless times maintenance was back up in the time frame they said it was, and they have also been up before the time they said it was going to be back, but no one makes posts about that do they.

Yeah I noticed…You’d think with all the money Blizzard makes they would have enough or better tech’s/admin’s/dev’s to be able to do what they get paid to do and have the servers up on time.

Well, just two weeks ago servers were up an hour or two early.
How soon we forget.

Compare the early up time’s to the extended up time’s and tell me what’s greater?

this year alone there are 15 instances of them finishing early and just as many of them finishing on time. The only time they seem to have been late or run over all year is since the implementation of remix the past two weeks and a few brief moments earlier in the summer during plunder storm.

Also that means they have a record of being extended also known as a bad record, at least in my opinion.
That’s merely an appeal to history, and does nothing to excuse it. Blizzard needs to get their act together and hold themselves accountable. The player shouldn’t be the one on the hook for extended service outages.

Yes, there have been many such times. Even many times when they have come up far earlier than announced and worked flawlessly.
Gonna blow your mind with this one but…
there was a time they would just do rolling restarts of the server and that was it for the week. Quick disconnect and a few minutes later we’re back online… now its just a game of how many times they can extended to provoke a certain number of forum posts for sheer enjoyment.

It’s Legion Remix’s fault, they’re putting in Legionfall so more transmog stuff to buy!

Legion Remix was early, like we got into it about two hours earlier if I recall, and while there was lag, I was still able to play for a long while.
Same with Collecters Bounty. Actually surprised this simple patch is taking longer then either of them. The time it is right now, both of those events were playable.
- Post that scheduled maintenance is from 9-11am. At some anointed time they plan for an outage beginning at that instant until some future time, and due to the wonders of quantum mechanics, the post automagically just advances the time. Brilliant! Physics, baby.
