Bets on how long maintenance will take today.
While they are adding some features, I don’t think it will be the entire length today. I bet it’s up around 1pm PST. Consider me hopeful, cause I’ve got a fat vault I’d like to be disappointed in before the sun sets in my area.

I’m also thinking/hoping this one doesn’t run for the full duration. This doesn’t seem like a patch that needs 8 hours. But this is still Blizzard, so it’s always a fun time betting on when maintenance will be over. 
Tbh I wouldn’t expect it up until 7 or 8 est. we’ve received extensions to the maintenance for every patch so far I think.
Let’s see how it all goes.
If online rumours are true, the Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion remaster is dropping in about an hour.
WOW can take however long it needs. I’ll be playing Oblivion.
They’ll go for a little extended maintenance just for the one dude that took today off work.
I think they’ll use what time they can to make sure the game isn’t broke like any patch can do. Possibly an hour early but I wouldn’t count on it.

Maybe they’re also starting to drop code for future player housing?

My bet is that the dawnbreaker becomes so broke that it actually just crashes into the ground and blows up when you zone into the dungeon.

They decided there wasn’t enough timegating in the patch already, so they’re also timegating the maintenance, as well as timegating the server downtime. While we get the normal server downtime advertised, there’s a whole bunch of additional downtime timgated until later in the day that will unlock.
Once maintenance is complete, they’ll timegate bringing the servers back up slowly.
