I think on the Americas region (this one) we don’t get a lot of Russian players, but there are servers for Russian players specifically, in the European Union region. I don’t think a lot of people would be willing to play here from Russia, the ping can be hard to enjoy the game with if you’re across the world. That said, you can play wherever you want, as the game settings let you read everything (except groupmates’ chat) in Russian.

I think you’re almost certainly best off looking in EU, and maybe one rich in Finnish players, as many in my experience also speak russian.

Yeah definitely try the European forum/servers. Can’t say that I’ve ever run across any Russian players specifically.
I’ve ran into a few Russians on Benediction on WotLK Classic. But haven’t seen any on Retail.
