Server for 55 and older

We need to have a server dedicated for players 55 and older. There are a lot of us thats been playing since 2004. It would sure be nice to have.

But why?

Give back your moms credit card and stop saying you were born in 1953!

This would be a good idea for many reasons.

I would love that.

Well what about the 54 yos?

You could just make a 55 and over community.

Then You could tell people to get off your lawn in a cross realm group that has no member caps.

There are no WoW players under 30 so what’s the problem?

They have to wait a year and during that time, they have to learn how to properly say, “get off my lawn!”

How would you enforce this? And what about those who let their kids play on their account?

Or if they make an account for their kid to play with them but put it in their name?

Now it’s no longer 55+.

Excalibur

This is a new type of gatekeeping I haven’t seen before.

Is the intent to honor long time subs of WoW or just to arbitrarily draw a line in the sand?

If the former the sentiment is fine but the execution is odd.

If the latter you can essentially so this by joining a guild with these requirements and or who you choose to associate with.

Your post seemed good natured but I don’t think I like the idea as it is currently stated. Cheers.

My guildmate’s kids would disagree with that statement. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Was wondering when “gatekeeping” would make it in.

Because young people are so annoying. Id join the old people server in a second…

Some are, sure. There are also some 55+ people that can be just as childish and annoying as some of those young folks. This isn’t something that’s restricted to sepcific age groups, friend.

I think the real motivation behind this is the addition of a free coffee vendor and a bingo hall in Orgrimmar.

Do bingo halls still exist? Haven’t heard that term in forever.

It better be gourmet coffee…or else…

…I’ll have to hold my nose when I drink it.
