I… don’t know. I feel like one reason I keep coming back to WoW is because it’s one of the few games with playable elves. But to start again from scratch? That’s just too awful to consider. I think I’m probably with Tovi on this one.

Though it would suck to lose that much history, I play the game primarily for the people I play it with. So after the initial rage, I’d be on the character creation screen in a few days.

If I were to lose everything I wouldn’t be able to just start over. I would simply quit and move on. 10+ years of characters and progress down the drain would be too hard of a pill to swallow.

I’d do this, I’ve already done it once before during cata/mists when I switched off the account that my dad gave me but still owned. It was easier for me to make my own, so I just restarted. I lost a few items that you can’t get back but it doesn’t really matter to me at least. I don’t care about most the stuff you can’t get back. It’s nice but not the end of the world.

This. Doby is a free elf. I can go and enjoy other games now. I hear they’ve made a few since I started playing WoW 12 years ago.
