The ones who decided to make this mount the next KSM mount are the most disconnected from the game someone could ever be.

Sure, the mount looks good-ish. We literally will never use it in a FLYING expansion where it’s all about flying, what’s even the point of rewarding that to those who will work weeks towards getting this ?

Reward this from like a 7 days feeding quest or like 7 days daily or something like in Zandalar but not from a KSM when both Raiding and PvP got variants of the dragonflying mounts we get early on.

wait then what’s the problem? from the rest of your post I gather that it’s a ground mount, but even if it was a flying mount you wouldn’t be using it anyway since it’s NOT a flying expansion, it’s a dragonriding expansion.

EDIT: what they should’ve done for KSM is give cool dragon customization as the reward.

their systems/rewards team might be a lot smaller since there’s less focus on it. too bad, cuz that mount is horrible

i still need it though, so def can’t wait for S1

Is it though? I’m seeing it as an expansion where we can’t use flying mounts for the first patch outside of a minigame

Customizations for the minigame mount would have been cooler though

no lol we can fly as we get there, it’s just flying with extra steps but it works well and it’s FAST. We’ll literally never use this.

We can’t fly using regular mounts though? So even if the otter flies it won’t matter?

I think the reason for this is because there’s no guarantee dragon riding will survive past DF. The ground mount will.

But maybe both should’ve been a thing. Or at least some way to get a dragon riding skin somehow in M+.

We can’t fly in Dragonflight with normal mounts indeed, which is why a customization for the mounts we can use would’ve made sense like Raiding and PvP already have.
