So how many of you see posts made on topics so silly, its impossible to take them seriously. Or they are so straight up wonky, logically or generally, that your instinct is to hit the comment button – but then go naaaa, and either just leave it or Mute it?

I am Muting a lot of stuff lately, and not even looking at even more. I think the proliferation of that sort of post is due to the fact that any serious discussion post generally devolves into argument, insult, abuse, etc and for all the interesting chat that comes from it, you might as well be talking to yourself. Which I do a lot of anyhow…

So what about you, is your Mute button getting a serious lot of use? Or do you just go meh, and move on?

I’m attracted to stupidity, it makes my peanut brain smile. So I don’t mute, I dance around like a monkey getting excited to see where a thread goes.

It’s the WoW forums. You shouldn’t take it seriously at all lol.
It’s not like this game’s playerbase is the epitome of intelligence among the MMORPG gaming communities.

I do not mute and I do not ignore (unless it’s someone spamming trade chat with selling stuff).

I’m interested in what everyone has to say even if I don’t agree with it.

frivolous threads have always been around. it’s not much different than going thru a social media news feed. i take the latter of your options, i tend to just move on but i may leave a reaction gif like this

I’ve never once had to mute a thread or ignore a poster. If I have an issue with something I just skip over it. I don’t need the whole “out of sight, out of mind” thing, I grew out of that stage many years ago.

You’ll never know because nobody is going to stalk me enough to figure out what I don’t respond to.

However, I don’t mute or ignore through automated stuff. There are people whom I ignore, but not through a system.

Op,so far 5 muted .Some like debating and we all know where that ends up. I just comment or chat for social matters it saves on headaches and some heartaches because i do love people more than they can even imagine.

Me too! I’m also putting a lot of people on forever ignore (Most seem to have under 10 post count) which I don’t usually do.

There seems to be a lot of angry people; people who want to attack others because they don’t like what’s being said.

I certainly understand not agreeing with strangers on the internet, but people are getting personal, saying ugly stuff about others’ characters.

Just work towards a better game, and leave personal attacks out of it. There are mature ways to discuss, argue and disagree. :seedling:

Over to the right at the bottom of the scrolling bar (under the number of comments like…17/19), there is a little eye icon. Click on it. You then have a bunch of options, Mute is at the bottom.

You sometimes have to scroll up a little for it to appear.
