Vanilla was objectively a better game overall. No one ever said class balance was the greatest. On the other hand, we have the communist approach in the game now where no one can be better than anyone else at something. This leads to very bland class design, where everything feels the same. It’s good for eSports perhaps, but not good for an MMO RPG.
As for the boss fights, I already said I prefer more straight forward fights to Dance Dance Revolution. That part is subjective, and I’ve said as much.
And this is where I disagree and I once again point out that you are using your personal feelings, your personal opinion, and making it an “objective” fact.

Not my personal opinion. The game design was objectively better. The game objectively had a clearer vision of what it wanted to be.
100% personal opinion.
No way around it. Because there is no objective measure for what you are stating.
If you can’t get around this point, its no use continuing. You believe you are right, for no other reason than its your personal opinion.

objective reality: stitches will kick yer butt at level in classic. haha. he will. and all your friends. neighbors. progenitors. the amoebas that crawled outta the primordial goop. etc.
The hype for Classic took a massive nosedive when they put out the stress test beta. People realized really fast the kind of beast Classic is.
Personally I’ve been there and done that. And I don’t have a great interest in returning.

100% fact. Look, you can not like reality. That’s fine. But don’t say reality isn’t fact, because there’s no getting around it – it is.
objective reality: ned is going to enjoy classic. sometimes you’re just too literal and other times, not literal enough. and sommmetimes, you’re just right. so says hyperspace. and so it is.
I have serious nostalgia for vaniller EQ because if the friends I made through the leveling grind and such. I can still remember my inky enchantress getting suprised attacked by a cackiling skeleton when first venturing out of neriak into nektulos forest.
Vaniller WoW was a solo grind from the start. Didn’t really make any friends levelong and I, wether it be good or bad, turned into as much of a solo game as I could. I don’t think I have any interest in giving up the conviences we have now.
oh gosh we were sad the stress tests were ending.
Ok. I will give you one chance.
Prove its a fact without tautology.
I sincerely hope he does. I hope everyone looking forward to Classic enjoys it.

Broke as a hunter? Lol lol XD Leatherworking and Skinning are your friends.
everything is your friend lol hunter = rich.
I don’t need a chance to state a fact. Your interpretation of things is out of alignment with reality. If anyone needs to forgo the tautology, it would be yourself.
Thanks. All I needed to see. I can safely move on.

Looks like somebody isn’t a thrifty spender.
Seriously, I’ve played on Classic servers, getting gold is NOT that hard. You just got to not spend it unless you need to. Also SELL EVERYTHING YOU FIND. None of this delete for more bag space nonsense.

most people will bounce back and forth classic has a phase plan witch will take a few years to fully come out.
when there is a long content drought like 8.1.5-8.2 you can play classic and when you are max level with nothing to do in classic plly the new retail patch.
they will feed off of each other.

quit no. But planning on leveling a warlock and prot warrior in classic. Goal is to get my warlock it’s demons and mount. Make my warrior a unkillable killing machine in PvP.
Expecting 95% of the playerbase won’t make it past level 20.
Expecting 95% of the raiders to quit once they lose their tanks.
No, already did that grind.
It’s going to be interesting to see how many people stick to classic. Most people will try it despite what this thread would indicate. The game has pretty much run off everyone that’s excitedly waiting for it.
It’s a different game. More of a traditional RPG where you slowly build up your character through gear and a lot of work. More open world, less lead you by the nose curation. It’s more grindy, but that grind has a more rewarding and lasting effect compared the treadmills in retail. Not as much, new gear, same as the old gear.
It definitely has some issues, the PvP Rank grind is one of the most hardcore no lifer activities ever put in a game.
It might not be immediate but it just might capture a lot of people. It’s the game that grew from nothing to 12 million subscribers, not that game that lost most of them.
