Classic is around the corner, 1 month left…
Lets face it … make it short no drama no jokes… how many of you actually are going to bail on the Azerite grind and the new neck abilities grind etc… just to play Classic?

I’m torn. 8.2 has so many faults, but Classic end game had issues too.
Classic end game is horrific compared to BfA end game. The class design isn’t much better, it’s just more erratic and all over the place. The old character models are an eye sore, and Kalimdor and the Eastern Kingdoms look too old to really have that same majesty that the newer zones have.
The questing feels awful, the lack of travel and graveyard placements makes the game take far longer than any forced play in Modern WoW, and honestly I just don’t have any fond memories of Classic.
Im happy for those who can find the fun in the game back then, but to me it wasn’t good until BC and beyond.
Classic is coming long enough after 8.2 launched that a decent amount will probably take a short hiatus to see it. Assuming 8.2.5 with the Worgen/Goblin revamps and such doesn’t drop at the same time, which I suppose is possible.
Either way, the number of people who legitimately QUIT modern WoW for legacy WoW long-term is going to be… tiny. The long-term audience of Classic is going to be VERY niche. And that’s okay. It only needs enough people to fuel a couple servers at the end of the day.
I will play both but would never quit modern for classic - I like too many of the QoL changes.
I’ll probably play both .
THere are enough gaps in things to do with BfA that I should be able to fill that time with Classic. Now whether or not I continue to play retail on into the future will depend on if they have learned from their mistakes and from player input and fix a vast number of the issues people have complained about or if they continue this path they have decided to take.
Vanilla was fun when it was current. I don’t see a need to go to Classic to revisit it and all the problems within it. Not really social these days so Classic doesn’t have anything after the 1-60 slog of a grind. That community is gone and will never be rebuilt.
No interest in Vanilla… er… Classic. Spent 2006 there and that’s enough for me as nothing is going to duplicate newness of the experience or the quality of life changes since then.
Hope those of you who try it really do enjoy it as there is room enough for everyone.
I have 0 interest in Classic and won’t ever be playing it. So if Blizzard expects to hold my interest with that nonsense, I’ll probably just leave the franchise all together because an old version of the game i play is useless to me.
That’s gonna be a no from me. Not a snowball’s chance in hell.
I’m not. I played classic when it was WoW. No desire to do that again.
I am. I had more fun in those three days than I have since MOP
No.

Not I. I love current WoW.
Played classic when it was just the game. Zero desire to play it again. When retail is so bad I just can’t stomach it any longer - and that point is getting close - I’ll just stop playing WoW.
There is a great chance I won’t be back on retail until next expansion, unless next expansion is more of the same from this current dev team. Then I won’t be here next expansion either.
My interest in classic is very little. I’ve been there, done that. Recreating the community of that era (which WAS the most important part) is likely impossible; and the gameplay of that era doesn’t particularly interest me. To each their own, but think Ill stick with the derailing train we have now for a little while longer, than the one that is so mired in nostalgia it never left the station.
I will dip my toes into classic at the most but won’t make a full move over there.
The blood elf players would probably beat me if I did.
There is little girl.
She draws many cats.
Every day, draws many, many cats.
Drawings are not good drawings, nor bad drawings, just many.
One day, little girl draws only one cat.
It is a better drawing.
Next day, little girl draws only half a cat, then finishes the rest the next day.
It is an even better drawing.
For one month, little girl draws only a single cat.
It is by far her best drawing and leaves her by far the most satisfied.
