A week later and the Anniversary balloon toy item is still not nerfed… Please add a cool down to the item so people can’t spam it and create symbols of hate or other crap that they been doing all week long… Screenshots of this and similar all over the internet, not sure how you guys at Blizzard haven’t done anything about it yet…

Well your suggestion isnt gona be heard here to avoid trolls id avoid general and use the ingame suggestion feature and make sure u say why its offensive and needs to be changed but be constructive. I do see your point tho they could put in a cooldown or something.
While your point is valid, posting an image of an appropriated symbol that might be dubiously racist at best is probably not the best thing to do. It still is a good symbol in Indian cultures today. Even in the western world it was a good omen until the '30s. It does not solely belong to a disgusting period of humanity.
But Darth is correct, your words will not be seen by the people that need to see it here.

The original thread you posted in GD was removed within 5 minutes I believe, its not smart to repost a moderated thread. I understand its upsetting, but honestly you’re giving people ideas to go out and try it themselves by sharing this, you’re also giving the trolls what they want which is attention.

Your heart’s in the right place, but your request isn’t. First, don’t post the the screencap. If it’s inappropriate for someone else to do, it’s also inappropriate to show on the forums, regardless of reason. Second of all, devs don’t come here. You’d probably be best using the suggestion feature in-game, as mentioned, or Twitter (@WarcraftDevs).
Or you know just report people in game and move on with your life without demanding something be changed due to a few jerks.
Imagine being so delicate that just the chance of seeing something offensive is more than you can handle.

With this logic, pack it up guys. We have to shut down the whole of WoW. People could potentially get in groups and make these symbols with their characters themselves, which definitely hasn’t been done before.
Should we talk about the “okay” hand signal next, as if that’s also a thing that should be taken seriously? As if that’s a problem to be solved?

Except it does matter what it has meant historically (outside of Hitler and Hitler’s Germany). And it’s pretty disingenuous to compare it to the n-bomb, considering the n-word has always been derogatory whereas the other symbol wasn’t a symbol of hate until Hitler. A more fair comparison would be to the okay emoji. But something tells me you probably take that seriously as well.
On a side note, I find it a bit strange that the n-word related to Hitler is censored.
Not sure if this a troll thread or not, but taking this suggestion out to its logical conclusion we should ban things like pencils since they can be used to write things we don’t like. Pencil makers are enabling hate!
