Serious questions about Winter Veil

What is the lore behind Winter Veil and why is Great Father Winter an Orc? Did the orcs bring “Winter Veil”?. Was there a Winter Veil before the orcs arrival? If so who was great father winter then?

Obviously, I guess, the orcs didnt bring it because then why would the alliance celebrate a horde holiday then? Because from vanilla throught TWW, both factions celebrate it.

Which stands to reason, it was here before the horde. So who is the original great father winter?

So many questions.

Winter Veil transcends factions because it’s a time of celebration. That’s why Great Father Winter is simultaneously an Orc and a Dwarf
