I feel like that addon would make someone a worse player, would it not?
Idk I used it for like one match in s2 and it was actually more annoying than anything.

it depends a lot on where you decide to let it leave you
if youâre like me, one day in the first season you play, your spec is so fotm that bored good players pick you up and carry you to gladiator ratings, youâll realize that just pressing reflect every time you hear that monotone âcycloneâ and pressing [@arenaHealer] storm bolt every time you hear âbig healâ is directly conflicting with the calls your partners are trying to give you to help you play better and win the games.
but at the end of the day itâs just about information and what you do in reaction to it; thereâs definitely bad players that let glossa be their only awareness, handicapping themselves at a point that theyâre content with. conversely, the best players have awareness of the game based on movement, experience-based prediction, animations and even game sounds that lets them track information more completely and rapidly than glossa ever could.
glossa gets a lot of flak that imo omnibar deserves more of than it gets for being a fire and forget addon that noobs can install to artifically gain tons of awareness they didnât have to buildâŚbut even having mainteamed with a caster for years, i canât say that i give a crap about the tears of mages who want focus sheep to be a complete shock to bad players so they can clown up a sicknasty 100% winrate 1v2 video at 1400
I play with no sound on, Like ever.
Lossa and omni should get equal flak but donât. Both do the exact same thing except one is visual vs audio.
Theyâre very different addons but I agree itâs silly too
This is it right here.
GSA might carry some super tunnel-visiony bad players up a few points, but really itâs not meant to be an addon that tells you how to play. It merely makes audio cues, which are sometimes very subtle, front and center and helps you keep track of things going on across the field alongside other mods like Omnibar. A lot of people donât seem to understand that.
Itâs definitely not for everyone. Some people find it distracting or annoying. It really depends on how that individual processes information. I think itâs a bit silly when people poke fun at GSA which is only telling you moment-to-moment spell casts and not the many mods that are telling you every long-term detail of the match.
The default lossa is awful, but you can customize it to be very effective.
Do I use it? Yes, I respond to sound cues faster than visual ones.
Iâve also customize it to only tell me about hunterâs freezing trap/tar, RoS. Recklessness, Vendetta, icy veins. I play with WoW sound off in arenas and can react faster to a voice telling me âFreezing trapâ than watching an icon on the screen. Can I death traps as they go out? Damn right I can.
Yeah thatâs pretty much all you hear with it
Lossa unfiltered is a meme
Sure thing pog
This is funny. Most of you probably would benefit from the additional audio since most of you are stuck sub 2k. Anotasha and two rank 1 EU hunters I watch play with it and a few other Good EU players. Whether you use it or not really doesnât matter. You guys literally act like the ads on plays ur toon for you. I would focus on ur guys 1800 elite sets before you try to say stuff about awareness when half of you clearly donât have a good sense of it judging by ur ratings.

Since when did lossa stop being hated⌠people used to be considered a joke if they used it in MoP and WoDâŚ
we all know doggo uses lossa so finally a woman will speak to him
His mom speaks to him everyday, asking what he wants for meals when she is calling from the basement door
This, I canât play without game sound for this reason.
I tried it for a bit in season 1 cause I hadnt done arenas since wotlk and didnât really know what I was doing, but after like 5 games of âpurge purge purge purge polymorph polymorph polymorph purge purge purgeâ in my ear the whole game I wanted to blow my brains out
Edit; it might not be that bad if you configured it to only tell you about big cooldowns (ie, combust, darksoul, etc), but generally those are fairly obvious so idk if thatâs even hugely worth it. But it wouldnât be as annoying
We all know you attack the Doggo on the forums because you canât handle him in game.
I do kick poly gpy CB and GH
Everything else I just use omni and nameplate cds.
Everyone else say they just use in game sound ques, but I cant quite catch those due to my tinnitus
After you hear it for the hundredth time it sounds catchy.
