I play with premades regularly. We win most of them and still find horde yelling dumb stuff like “go back to retail” “No honor” or whatever. I also pug a bunch in the morning and it’s the same thing. I rarely ever see Alliance doing this.
Just a culture thing? Honest question. It doesn’t even phase me, I just find it intriguing. Even have seen some horde macro ‘spit’ emotes to their attacks.
I dunno, I don’t BG much but my experience in the open world was every roaming gank squad of alliance tended to do the same thing. I think it’s just a PvP thing, people get all uppity when they’re full of bloodlust I guess.
It’s definitely a little confusing when we’re stomping them in AB, were about to win, and they’re at a massive resource deficit… but spam emotes at me and say to go to retail.
I guess it makes them feel better in their mind because they thought they’d win at every possible facet of pvp.
Personally, I get more enjoyment when you see horde RP walk across the BS bridge and try dancing with us. A little comic relief after the battle.
This is definitely true, I think it’s a pretty fair statement that most people who enjoy pvp, tend to have a more competitive nature, and in turn will be a lot more smug/aggressive to whoever they’re fighting.
I normally don’t spam anything unless the other team is just being flat out obnoxious. I’ve seen some nasty teams that love spitting. However, I save the smugness for when the blue scoreboard is about to get plastered on their screen.
I prefer to go the opposite route, myself. Throw some hugs and kisses at them while they murder me into the ground. I’m usually holy spec’d so I’m not going to put up much of a fight, anyway.
We’re so excited to get into a game after waiting up to an hour in the queue. Just releasing excess excitement, it’s more for our entertainment than anything to do with you
We get the same thing horde side. I am not sure why a rank 13 in a group of rank 13s needs to yell “No honor” “You are bad” against a PUG but ok…
This is actually not allowed according to Blizzard as cross faction speech is intentionally not permitted. Therefore, I just report it every time.
I was actually in a pug the other day against a WSG marshall premade and one of them spammed Sorry, thank you, love you all. That was so nice and unexpected so I didn’t report him.
Depends on the opps skill level.
If they’re at least decent? I will not emote them.
If they’re bad. I will emote spam them
If they try and emote me back and they’re also bad. I will make an alt on their server and trash them.
It’s entertaining when it has a humorous intent. The ones created out of spite or made to put another down shows the player’s own insecurity.
I use a macro of my own design that translates to “not kool”. I only use it in jest and I never spam it. From what I’ve been told, that’s the only offence that may result in a suspension.
Yesterday a druid stunned me one step away from acquiring the regen buff in WSG and took it for his own. I used my macro and he responded by yelling “bur” which is pink skin for lol. There was no hard feelings, it was a moment for us both.
