Am I the only person who has a very hard time in the new zones in terms of them making you dizzy? I had the same issue in TWW. All of the zones are more vertical than those of the past. I’ve only made it to the first zone so far but if they are all like this I don’t know if I can play.
I last about 20min before I get too dizzy. Ironically if I had normal flying it would help a bit but to eventually unlock that is going to take me a lot of time at this rate.

Maybe ask this guy from the other thread. Apparently the whole game is being designed for small children now. So if that’s true, just grab a kid and have them pilot your character through the new zones for you.

I did a lot of the first three zones I complete with a ground mount. Especially in Silvermoon and Eversong, the dragon riding is just horrible.

With Dysautonomia yes, especially the spinning telescopes in each area.

Putting that behind Pathfinder and leveling, and not just having it as an option is just a weird thing to do and I wish they would just put that to rest.
I find dragonflight has been improved ‘a little’ it still makes me slightly queasy, and being unable to just hover in the air, and admire the view, is a pain in the elfbutt.
They changed spider to crabs for people with the phobia and that was good, but why not give both flight options for people with medical issues and it making some feel sick from it.

I use the motion sickness toggles that darken the edges of the screen and the circle UI element while Dragonriding. I also have screen shake disabled.
I’ve been okay otherwise.

The only thing that seems to help is zooming in on my character all the way. Which makes playing…not awesome, but at least I don’t feel as dizzy. I donno if I’ll make it to max level and the only reason I’m going to try is because of the money I paid for this xpac.

I am having this problem where I really didn’t before, and I would describe it just like the OP, as a problem where the game is being built vertically with obstacles like multilayered mushrooms that I have to swing around. My solution is to basically stick to the ground and zoom in.
I am not enjoying the expansion that much.
That’s interesting, I don’t have any problems with dragon riding but I actually had the opposite critique about the zones’ verticality. I feel like df and tww zones were better designed for dragon riding and that midnights zones are worse for it. A lot of the time when traveling I think about how much better designed and decorated these zones are from ground level.
I get why they couldn’t add great verticality to eversong since it already existed and had “canon” geography but the other three zones could’ve been designed like they have been for the last two expacs. Voidstorm and Harandar do a bit better than Eversong and Zul’aman but since they’re portaled away SL style, they feel a lot smaller even when dragon riding in them.

I am having issues as well. When dragon riding became a thing, I would get violently ill from watching the screen. I had to start taking motion sickness medication just to be able to play. Once I completed Dragonflight Pathfinding, I could use Steady Flight and I was fine, didn’t need to take the medication.
Went through the same thing when TWW came out until I could get pathfinding done again.
I spent most of today in Haranir trying to finish the questline there to unlock the new allied race. Had to take a double dose because the 1st dose wasn’t working. I have 3 parts of the main storyline left to do, which I hope to finish up tomorrow. Then need to see what else is required to unlock Pathfinder. Once I get that unlocked, I should be fine.

Correct. Because Skyriding gave them the opportunity for more verticality and the ability to create more content that way, too.
My advice is to stay on the ground as much as possible. And also change your Skyriding settings. I’ve got mine set to where it looks exactly like steady flying.
Try the settings I have above. The screen doesn’t move and there’s no speed lines or anything for me. It’s just like steady flying in that regard. I don’t know if there are other graphics settings that change it, so let me know if those don’t work for you.

Sorry for you but no, I’ve not been dizzy at all
Thank you Bunches Sendryn. I will give that a try in the morning. Will let you know the results after I test it.

I have to skip every vista telescope it makes me barf.
I’m just having my usual new zone struggles building up a mental map to orient myself.
No unexpected reactions so far.
