Serious Dragonflight Perplexity

Alright, I commented this earlier on the Legacies Chapter 2 Forum Topic, but I feel this deserves to be asked on it’s own!
“It’s [Legacies Chapter 2]… Just more stuff we know… I expected enlightenment, but a rehash! Yes that is harsh, but I still don’t understand why the Primalists are attacking, why Proto-Drakes are with them, and what we’re doing aside from sightseeing… Even after playing Beta, I understand then that the Proto-Drakes and Primalists want to bring back the Elemental Wars, but even that’s a guess, and it is hardly explored, despite the significant Primalist Presence. It’s exciting all we’re getting and these cinematics are great… But Why are we helping the Dragon Aspects? Why don’t we know about the Primalists more, and why didn’t we see such Proto-Drakes in Northrend?
Perhaps I’m being incredibly critical here, but in LEGION we knew who we were facing and why. But, going into the Dragon Isles, and suddenly these Primalists and funky Proto-Drakes appear, and are well known is jarring. And are we going to get an explanation in Pre-Patch either? Why is our enemy these 2 groups? Maybe somehow Link the Old Gods a bit more upfront? Unless you fear this makes the expansion Cataclysm 2.0 on Dragon Isles?
It just doesn’t feel right… And where is Thrall? Can’t he use his Shaman Abilities again? We have the greatest shaman back, but he’s not present against these Primalists?!
I understand you have to do something new, but it’s all still such a mystery, and feels like another Battle for Azeroth! BFA was supposed to be a Faction War, that’s what it looked like from the get-go; The Trailer for Dragonflight shows only the Dragon Isles, and “Hey, maybe something has changed” but, nothing more, and now we’re not only supposed to be inspired to enter the Dragon Isles, but going after some mysterious threat which has supposedly been there the whole time and is able to stage an attack in just a few days?
Yes there was a timeskip, but why didn’t the Dragons know the Isles had been revealed again until the Primalists Attack? And how did the Primalists know about the Isles, know about the Proto-Drakes who were stuck on the Island!? Unless they weren’t then Where were they? Were they on the isles, before, How did they get into the isles if it was still veiled? How did they get out? How did they know!?
I must admit again, this is very cruel-seeming… But, even in Shadowlands, we knew what we were setting off to do, and why it was important to do so! And who was doing it (For the most part)…
It just doesn’t make sense; Perhaps Old Gods, or Something Else is involved, but why and how; It’s hardly expressed and we’re just supposed to go along with it? This was supposed to be a trip to the Dragon Isles, but these enemies are just organized and there? How did they get there, when did they get there? WE NEED to know this, otherwise it makes no sense. Sure some might argue, other expansions have been this way, but we knew About Pandaria, Draenor, Time-Travel, Deathwing, Old Gods, Arthas, Illidan and whatnot way aforehand! The Sudden New Organization built up from nothing that is the Primalists… Where did it come from? Sure they’re attacking, but “Oh hey! Looks like they’re attacking Un’Goro, let’s go to the Dragon Isles to find them!” Isn’t Good! HOW DO WE KNOW THEY’RE THERE? Are two story arcs going at once, when this could’ve been two separate expansions instead LIKE BFA could have been!? HOW Did they set up so quickly!? Can we set up the big bad already!? Did the Dragon Isles have to be veiled!?
I want to love this expansion coming up, but please give me the story to do so Blizzard! You used to be so good at this stuff, can you at least explain it better? I thought we were just going to the Dragon Isles! Where’d all this stuff come from!? To be honest, Ignoring the Primalists, Proto-Drakes, and Beautiful Artistry and Designs… There isn’t much going on here at all! Please make it clearer!”
Perhaps I just didn’t find it, but that’s exactly it, I did not find out how or why the Primalists are together, or how they even knew about each other if the Dragon Isles are opening now, and if the timeskip factors in, WHY ARE WE ONLY GOING TO THE DRAGON ISLES AFTER Five years. And even if veiled the primalists could enter because it was just mist, then HOW COME WE NEVER stumbled into there? How come this wasn’t made clear!?
It may be a childish peeve but, it just doesn’t make sense to me…

That’s a lot of words. Do you have a shorter version for my dumb lizard brain?

Umm, Why are the Primalists, How are the Primalists, When are the Primalists, and Who are they primalists
In specificity

  1. Why are The Primalists and Proto-Drakes together?
  2. How were they able to meet if the Dragon Isles were not open and no humans or orcs were in the Dragon Isles back then.
  3. When did the Primalists get there, and once more how?
  4. Who are they? How is it they heard the Proto-Drakes, or found the Isles, before the Dragons themselves!?

Ive been holding out hope that this is explained in the game or in tge remaining cinematics.

The Primalists exist so we have someone disposable to beat up in 10.0. That’s it.

The Primalists are probably a side track. I think Legacies is setting up Nozdormu’s transformation into Murozond. We’re listening to his story, not that of the Primalists.

The Primalists serve the elemental proto-drakes, similar to the Twilight Cultists to the Old Gods.

I assume the Primalists on the Dragon Isles were there when the isles went into hibernation whereas the Primalists on the rest of Azeroth are new recruits.

Again, I assume they were already there when the isles went into hibernation.

Elementalists (maybe more specific than just Shamans) that serve the elemental proto-drakes.

Again, I assume they were already there.

But, how were the Primalists there!? The Dragon Isles sealed during the War of the Ancients right? Orcs did not enter Azeroth until many years later, and dwarves did not exist either! Yet there are Orcs and Dwarves amongst the primalists! There were no humans either then, it’d be Vrykul, and there’s humans amongst the primalists too! Night Elves make sense, and tauren too though.

I assume they were already on the Dragon Isles before it went into hibernation, like the other denizens of the isles.

Yes.

Are there Orc, Dwarf, and Human Primalists on the Dragon Isles? If so, I would assume they got there after the Primalists’ ranks grew after Raszageth was freed on the Forbidden Reach.

But, did Raszageth leave the Dragon Isles to enlist them? And if so, doesn’t that defeat the purpose of the Dragon Isles being hidden? Up until now?

There were though. The War of the Ancients was 10000 years ago; humans began appearing ~15000.

Around 15,000 years ago, the vrykul of the Dragonflayer clan believed that their gods had “abandoned” them, and a certain time after that, some of their children were born “weak and ugly.”[3]

Huh? I suppose that makes sense; Not that efficient with Chronicles Lore, sorry

No, she stayed on the Dragon Isles as far as I know.

The Dracthyr reawakened after the watcher reignited the light at Tyrhold, opening the way back to the Dragon Isles. We also have the few year time skip, so maybe the cinematic takes place some time ago and just now the Primalists went to unleash Raszageth.

Don’t we have 3 cinematics left? They could expand on that in the later ones. For the most part these seem to be priming any returning/new players to know kinda whats supposed to be going on with these major dragon characters.

These animated shorts are mostly given to Drac’thyr at one point after you leave the starting zone. This is just getting Drac’thyr up to speed

You’ll see in the starting zone and quest zones

So… Huh… But… So in those years, the Dragons didn’t tell us once that there were crazy cultists and proto-drakes terrorizing their lands?! And if it was some time ago…
Oi… I hate timeskips… Then why wasn’t Raszageth in the Trailer!? Why not mention it before!? And if People were going in and out, The Dragonflights just decided not to tell anyone anything? We never stumbled into the Isles at all? All those trips on boat from Menethil Bay to Howling Fjord… Oi… I shouldn’t try and find too much reason in this should I?

She’s locked away in the dracthyr starting zone.

Why would the dragons want to bring attention to someone they’re keeping locked away for azeroths safety?

-_- It was magically locked away. Like Pandaria with the mists

That wall of text is hard on the eyes.

But… But… How’d the new primalists get in then!?

Cuz when the dragon isles is unhidden in the cinematic, they go to get her since the starting zone is right by the dragon isles

Why do you insist on having all the answers right now? Just go play the game when its out
