So when I took the Emerald Dreamway portal to Hinterlands the other day, I noticed something interesting…
Seradane, the place the portal comes out at in the Hinterlands, seems to be a bit different from the other Emerald Dream Portals that have been around since Vanilla. Unlike the Duskwood portal for instance (which only has the portal, a moonwell, and some unique foliage), the portal at Seradane seems to be surrounded by the ruins of a whole town or city. Is there any lore on Seradane, other than that it has the portal?

There isn’t really much known about it. The Great Tree there was planted along with the others 4,500 years ago to stop saronite from appearing. At some point the green dragons had claimed it for themselves. They held it in vanilla, but had abandoned it by Cataclysm.
But if any night elves lived there or if it was a town or base of some kind isn’t known or mentioned. I imagine the druids at least kept an eye on it though.
