Okay, love DF so far, not much of anything to complain about which as actually different for a new expac. Just one thing - I would like my ores to go to my mining bag, and all other reagents to the reagent bag. Is there any way to do this?
My reagent bag is crammed full of fish, other cooking ingredients, and engineering parts. My ore spills over into my bags naturally.
Maybe fill your reagent bag up? Older expansion crafting items work pretty well too.
I just discovered if I have a herbing bag equipped - adding a reagent bag makes the reagent bag disappear entirely. My character had one from the prepatch event and it was gone so I got my tailor to make another and it just disappeared after I equipped it.
TLDR: For the love of god let our profession bags be made our default bags for those items!
This is driving me crazy. I have a large leather working bag and a large tackle box (for fish). Yet everything defaults to my new reagent bag. I even tried putting some things in the other bags hoping that new items would stack on top of them as I collected them. No dice. Everything continues to go into the reagent bag.
I am actually thinking about just getting rid of the reagent bag completely! But I just thought it would be nice to have other various crafting items go there instead of my main bag.
And what makes matters even worse for bag space, it you have, lets say, Mighty Mammoth Ribs in one of yuor bags. When you get another Mighty Mammoth Rib, it goes into the Reagant bag and not the bag that has the other Mighty Mammoth Ribs. So, now the mats are taking up 2 bag slots. UGH
Yes, this is monumentally annoying.
Looted reagents should be
Existing stack > Reagent bag > Regular bag
I have 3 bags just crammed full of mats and crafting stuff.
I have piles of the same ore, that are different quality, so won’t stack, it’s almost impossible to find stuff.
Bag inventory system needs some updating to work with the new profs I feel.
Exactly. Lots of mats are expected with a new expansion. But, adding quality levels with each mats makes find a mat in your inventoy a disaster.
I did let my reagent bag fill up so that ore would direct itself to my mining bag. New DF ores go into any other bag, while ores from elsewhere all go direct to the mining bag. WT…?
Dont forget that bank bags. Dont know why we cant have one large bag by combining them please
Didn’t think old world bags work with DF mats?
I bought a 36 gem bag only to realize no raw or cut gems from this xpac will go into them. So now I’m just using the free 34 slot reg bag (mystic satchel?) to hold overspill from reagent bag.
I have no problems with manually putting DF ore into my mining bag, but when mining, the ores seem to go to the nearest slot in any other bag. I have the reagent bag filled so no more ore goes there, but the behaviour of the new ores and their interaction with my bags is…strange. I can’t wait to drag one of my herbalists out here and see what happens with herbs.
Do the DF ores go into reg bags even if you have the exact same type of ore/rank in your mining bag already?
Good to know current ore can still go in old mining bags. I spent a small fortune on the gem bag for nothing.
I bought a gem bag for an enormous amount of gold on the auction house only to find that no actual gems are allowed to be placed in it. I can get rousing and awakened fire, earth, and others to go in, but no actual gems. Very frustrating to spend that much on a gem bag to not have it function.
