Separate retail and Vanilla on Twitch

I’m not really sure if Blizzard has any power to ask Twitch to do this, or if they ever would since it boosts the amount of viewers of WoW as a whole.

But it’s really annoying to try to look for retail WoW streamers and have to sort through all of the Classic ones. Likewise, when retail is popping off, it’s annoying to have to sort through retail streamers if I wanna watch someone playing Classic or SoD.

Is there any way someone at Blizzard can request that Twitch makes it easier to parse through the massive WoW category? Maybe make them have to use a tag of which version they are playing or something?

I dunno it probably isn’t that big of a deal, but I really like being able to find smaller streamers for all versions of the game and the WoW category on Twitch being so massive makes it really hard! Make it easier for me to support smaller WoW content creators pretty please :dracthyr_heart:

It used to be separated.
Im pretty sure they asked for it to be merged because some people obsess over Twitch numbers and constantly drag retail when classic was higher.

You should be able to filter by flairs though within the WoW category.

Is it really that hard? It’s usually pretty obvious from the thumbnail + title which version they’re playing.

They should separate retail and classic character forums too. Don’t need an opinion about retail from a classic character and don’t need an opinion from a retail character about classic.

There’s some people that do tag it, but not always. And not usually for retail, either.

Not always, but also I have to sit there and scroll through and see which one they’re playing, and sometimes I’m looking for people playing specific classes and stuff, too. It can take a lot of time to physically sort through each streamer and I don’t end up getting to the streamers when you scroll further down because it takes too long to parse through them.

There’s a feature on Raider IO that makes this easier, but ever since it added Classic streamers it’s kind of mucked it up and kind of ruined it.
