Separate PVE and PVP and the PVP scene will explode

Welcome to WoW!

Create a Character

at the end of character creation “please choose” [PvE] [PvP]

choose pvp

Placed in a new, designated island for pvp

Are already max level

already have generic max ilevel gear with all azerite traits unlocked

Join Solo Queue 2’s or 3’s or 5’s to get started learning, enjoy tracking your progress through mmr

Earn tokens by winning games, spend tokens on transmog usable in PvP

For elite transmogs, play organized Arena games of 3v3 or 5v5

This character can not leave this island

create a PvE character
fly to PvP Island
gear automatically becomes the same as everyone elses, stat wise

Even playing field. Better players win.

The ability for people to compete at the highest level without dedicating a huge portion of their life to this game will make PvP explode.

People will full time jobs and children can log on at 9pm and play PvP for an hour or two with NO BS…only QUEUES

Top players in the world figure out an azerite build? Go change your specs for gold or tokens. Now your only excuse is your skill.

Every day sign up for the daily 1v1 tournament. Prizes for the winner.

This idea would be really cool. I just don’t know how appealing it would be to new players. Leveling 1-120 gives you time to understand how to use your abilities, what they do, how to perfect them. Jumping a new player into a class they aren’t familiar with would be overwhelming, especially since they would have no idea about making macros etc. The concept is only viable in MOBAs because it doesnt take long to memorize 4 abilities.

As a long tome PvPer this would be a lot of fun though. I would probably play more classes then I currently do and feel more incentivized to fill dps/healer roles accordingly.

yes!! the new players don’t HAVE to play PVE for a long period of time and then grind pvp gear and unlock azerite traits and pick the correct ones all just to compete.

just log in, and play.

this would be worth $15 a month. right now the fact that blizz charges a monthly fee is baffling

Blizzard tried this with AT Realms back in Wrath/Cata

Yes they were fun, but people mostly qued on them to qualify for Blizzcon or to get the Vanquisher title. They died pretty quickly

needs to be the same world, and have loot that can be used in PvE and transmogs. there has to be incentive for someone who doesn’t normally PvP to create a PvP only character and immediately start queuing solo queue…for either an awesome transmog, or a title, or mount…whatever it may be

How about no.

I’ve been pitching this on these forums literally since BC. Never going to happen.

how about just keep doing what you’re doing then chachi. play PvE and bring your character to the PvP island.

and let us employed people who work 50+ hours a week still enjoy the game and curb stomp you in arena because you can only win when you have a massive ilevel advantage

Exactly the kind of answer I expected, you literally just killed your own thread with that, good.

thread still here.

look, the only reason I would make a post like this is because I want to see WoW PvP grow as an esport

these changes aren’t only helpful, they’re necessary for the scene to grow.

there’s a reason LoL has so many players. people can start playing, reach max level, and be on a totally even playing field with people like Faker and Bjergsen. do the same exact damage.

They don’t have to grind endlessly to be able to play ranked, just log in and start queuing…with organized AND solo/duo options…

it’s almost like…if take cues from successful esports, we’d be a successful esport.

MIND BOGGLING LOGIC

  1. if you think ilvl matters this much in arena, Google what PvP scaling is in bfa
  2. go play something else, this game is clearly not for you
  3. post on main, before calling people that want gear to matter in PvP bad…

if you want gear to dictate your power in a PvP match, you’re bad, and you’re looking for a handicap…prob because you’re handicapped. sorry boyo

post on main. lets see how your 1100 mmr goes.

if you want to play MOBA go play MOBA, this is RPG

i want to play an MMORPG with static, balanced, rewarding PvP. I think the general consensus at the moment is that the azerite trait, heart of azeroth farming, gear, inability to have multiple alts without dedicating literal days of playtime, messed up scaling, lack of vendors, lack of solo queue, etc is hurting this game.

Rather than being a whiny little girl, why don’t you offer something of value.

right now you’re just the annoying little kid who says “no” to everything

if that is what you read from my posts, then you have a problem with reading…

all I am going to say is this:
This game needs to go away from RNG and bring back static gear progression.
PvP vendors, conquest cap, PvP gear vs PvE gear separation.

Gearing matters, because it is an RPG. If you want static PvP this is not the game that historically had this, nor there are other RPG titles, that are successful to prove that that model works.

and no one is whining, all we are saying is that you have no guts to post on main, and that is why no one takes you seriously. You are not the only person who works 50 hours a week, you are not the only person with obligations. if you don’t see a way to play this game competitively with your schedule, grow up and quit. Other people don’t see it the same way you do.

And calling someone else a “boyo” or “kid” only shows your own maturity. You are the one who started attacking personally, so… post on main or you are nothing but empty sound.

P.S. PvP vendors when?

gonna keep posting on KBBQ just cause I love KBBQ and I don’t love you.

now, just because something has been a certain way since the beginning of a game, doesn’t mean that it can’t be changed.

literally this is PROGRESSION

do you get mad because slavery was abolished, or because we started using gasoline powered vehicles?

People who have some sick obsession with feeling stronger in a video game because they sink their lives into it are unhealthy, YOU are unhealthy.

Those who love progression, are MOST LIKELY PvE players who can STILL PLAY the same exact game they used to, and, in WORLD PVP they would be strong!

but as soon as they enter instanced pvp, they have to wear the instanced pvp gear.

ew? your idea is weak and lame, and lacks any significant or original imagination, while also exposing yourself as a toxic little rat that based on his own pvp experiences is actually incapable of “curbstomping” anyone or anything at all

no, they’re not. because I’ve certainly achieved 1750 lmao

yes, they are. I can see my arena achieves on my alts that never got past 1400
