Sentinel Hill has been burning for 13 years. Any plans to fix that at some point?

Just a reminder, while people go through and do their Hallow’s End buckets and see the cata zones post questlines that some of these places have been in chaos and confusion for 13 years, Sentinel Hill, Westfall being one of them which has been on fire since Patch 4.0

Fire department is on the way, just stay on the line…

The Centralia mine fire is a coal-seam fire that has been burning in the labyrinth of abandoned coal mines underneath the borough of Centralia, Pennsylvania, United States, since at least May 27, 1962.

That fire hasn’t been put out for 61 years. Sentinel Hill is just a slow burning BBQ pit.

They real do need to update EK and Kal storylines.

Stratholme has been burning for way longer.

Sentinel Hill will need to get in line.

Menethil Harbor is still flooded. And that fire elemental still trolls Ashenvale even after if it was vanquished to the nether.

Yeah, half built and sloooow burning. Would be interesting to revamp.

You’d think the quillboars in Red Cloud Mesa (the tauren starting area) would be extinct by now after getting slaughtered by aspiring new adventurers for almost 20 years.

We didn’t start the fire. But it was always burning since Azeroth has been turning. No we didn’t light it, but we tried to fight it.

The real estate there has taken a noise dive after that. Also all the zombies too have had an impact.

Retail has been burning for years now too

I think what we’re learning here is the devs neglected to put in fire departments. And now that I think about it, the only fires that do get put out are ones we have to put out ourselves.

As much as I agree, I’d miss the story lines they have now much like I did when they changed them the first time.

You know what Azeroth needs?

Marcus Lucinius Crassus

"Crassus had his own private fire department, and if your house caught fire his representatives would offer to buy it on the spot, at a one-time-only, fire-sale price that would fall rapidly as the flames climbed. If you said yes, you’d get a few sesterces, after which Crassus’ firefighters would do their thing. If you said no, you’d end up with a pile of ashes. "

Essentially, Crassus invented both the fire department, and fire insurance.

delete azeroth. have her wake up and we all go to a different world during the void vs light war

It’s on fire because it’s a phased instance of Sentinel hill that only appears after Vanessa vancleefs reveal and the defias assault. From a lore perspective, it’s probably not on fire anymore since the defias were defeated and vanessa herself submits to the Leader of the rogue order. You defeat her and she begs for her life from you and becomes an order hall champion character.

The order hall storyline takes place after we defeated the defias in cataclysm, and i’m fairly certain it’s implied the defias are completely defeated this time.

That being said, sentinel hill won’t ever change unless they end up revamping the old world again like they did in cataclysm, so it’s probably never going to stop being on fire if you’re phased.

Private fire fighting was a mess. They’d head out to a fire and if you didn’t have a fire insurance plaque on your house they’d just watch it burn. Some things just work better as public services.

I agree, it does seem at some point we should have a mini-revamp of the old world/cataclysm world. It is kinda ridiculous at this point, like I get it and I understand because WoW is a monolith, but still

The dam above Wetlands at Loch Modan has yet to be repaired since Cataclysm almost 13 years ago.

Where are all the auction house cuts going? Clearly not to maintaining the lands!

I’m going to Blizzcon and if I have a chance I will get to the bottom of this.

Stratholme been burning since 04. How can a fire burn something and not turn it to ash by now?
