Seriously, it’s a problem. Why is everybody so sensitive and toxic lately?

People are wrong, I’m always right.
Oh this person is just a streamer/youtuber, whatever do they know.
Please add a report option for people who votekick you unfairly.
People said mean things to me, silence them.
Well if you don’t like it then quit, loser.
Bye bye nobody will miss you.

What’s going on? This is pathetic. What are we, little kids who start crying over a single word? What happened to sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me? Is it the other way around now? Somebody please explain this to me. This is not a troll post, I’m truly at a loss. What has happened to the community?

Some enjoy using their internet anonymity to treat other people in ways they probably wouldn’t treat them in real life because they can get away with it. Also, they feel it’s OK to take their real life frustrations out on “objects” on a screen.

Right. But what about people who get offended about every little thing? And they’re not just trolling, they’re for real. People who say every little thing, votekicking them from a group, calling them some word, talking about their sexuality (Here I mean that transgender thread from a few days ago), is just harassment and bullying. Like seriously, what’s up with that? Why are we crybabies?

The people like some in that specific thread you mentioned probably just have some need to feel special or something, they want all the attention without the negative side effects, they want those who disagree with them to be silenced. It’s probably an insecurity issue, and it seems unfortunately common and even encouraged in today’s societty.

I don’t understand their need to bring these real world ‘problems’ into a fantasy RPG though, games like these are supposed to be escapes from all the political drama and such going on in our dreadful world, but it seems we can’t even have that much.

Meanwhile now the chats, at least on the 2 servers I play (MG and WRA), are filled with political talk, and nobody actually expresses their opinions anymore. It’s just filled with “Drumpf bad”.

I’m not sensitive myself, I’m talking about players hating eachother over a game, I think that’s just ridiculous.

Because people are humans. Humans are [Bleep]s. Humans flock to the chance to behave like [Bleep]s whenever possible now more than ever because of 2 reasons; The constant debate of how acceptable certain human behaviors are and how acceptable it is to police certain behaviors of those. Humans have always had the basic fear of trying new things out of the paranoia of someting going wrong. The internet and video games are tools that have been around for a long time that have servered the purpose of nullifying that fear for the simple reason of softening the blow of reprocussions.

If you don’t know what i’m talking about, think of 99% of video games vs almost none of them. Guess what most video games do? They have a system of saving progress, this allows you to make horrifyingly bad mistakes and still continue on with progress with little to no consequences besides personal tilt. WoW maybe not so much so, but like the internet, it is still a place that faciliates a less than organic interaction with our world. Something that disrupts human nature and at the same time brings the worst of it out. From the opportunists, to the trolls, to the hackers, to the very simple but simply annoying [Bleep]s.

TLDR/TLDU; The internet and video games make it convenient and fullfilling for the litlle [Bleep]s of the human race to be [Bleep]s without a punishment that they will give much of a [Bleep] about on an organic level. In case you hadn’t realized. There is no easier way to explain this all than what i have just summarized, besides the fact that this game sucks after what blizz has done to it and the resounding effect is the more pleasant population has dwindled because the game’s environment simple does not suppport them as well anymore.

Excuse the wall of text i was bored. I could have typed that in a lot less words.

I’ve heard the “rabble rabble stop bringing politics into this!” just because I’m trans and happen to exist. It gets old to be yelled at that you’re some big political statement when you just want what other types of people get in entertainment. Not saying you did that, just a bit of a side rant

Humans are constantly changing. We’re just more aware of it now as we advance online and in medicine.
