I mean, I thought it fit the character, was it 100% top tier VA work, no, but the character was also an exitable ‘boot’ (military term, meaning some one raw and fresh from boot camp) so showing up to their post and seeing it in that state and no one higher up to help out/tell them how to respond, being a bit out of breath makes sense?
Maybe I can act better, but I can’t get my voice deep enough. I sound like a 12 or 8 year old boy to some people apparently, despite being an 18 year old.
To be honest, I think voice direction is to blame.

The art director failed.
The casting director failed.
When something is so polarizing and out of place that it causes someone to stop and think “WHAT THE HECK IS THAT” and not in a good way, that’s a fail.
There’s things that are bad and are forgettable.
There’s things that are so bad they’re memorable. And when that memorable thing dies in some hilarious way, it becomes immortalized.

I’ll agree to disagree with that. To give you an example of what her original voice sounded like, it sounded like a female trying to voice a male character in DND at 12 years okd.
This new improvement or her voice just sounds like a wannabe old lady.
