Anniversary transfers are a mistake.
I mean WSG has been popping due to the influx, right?
Eh not more than normal on weekend.. Just slightly better activity early week. Problem is, they’re so horrid, they DoT all the CC, they don’t use CC, they cry about FAP / LiP / Nades/ consumables name goes here, and they want to give up to go to the next game.
They should not be playing if they’re here to rank. I would rather only see GOOD games where everyone is there to win, than maybe an extra game where the players are horrid.
Send them back from whence they came ![]()
No. I’m transferring my anni warr next week. The only reason I played fresh was to get a warrior with conc stones and UDS on Era
I know you did, 90% of the PVE crowd did the same for that exact reason. My only care is that these feeders are killing WSG. Ban them from PVP and send them back to annivesary.
A tale as old as time.
There was a surprising amount of brand new classic players that hopped on Anni.
Its tragic, both sides have been nerfed in quality both horde and allies the level of play has dropped 50% or more.. Vexing..
We would’ve had a whole new gen of juiced youngbloods ready to game if they had to play WSG/AB to rank when Anni launched.
The new ranking system is worse for the game than the old one.
107%, the new system while nice to do alts with… pure evil for getting players into actually doing BG’s
It’s frustrating because I really like WSG, but it sucks to be in those matches where nobody wants to actually play the battleground (capture flags, return flags, peel, support, etc). I saw a lot of those types of matches this weekend.
So many times, you look down at the minimap and see everyone milling around in the base even though our flag is out and the enemy flag is still in place. Or they’re grouped up “controlling midfield,” but somehow not stopping EFC’s or helping FC’s.
I think the biggest change I saw this week was so many druids and rogues staying stealthed nearby while their healers and FC’s get killed, or non-stealth classes being conveniently absent from any part of the map where meaningful action (flags) is happening.
It’s not really new behavior, and Anniversary transfers certainly don’t have a monopoly on it, but there sure seems to be a lot of wallflowers and hangers-on who want to be handed a win but don’t want to risk losing face enough to try and contribute.
Personally, I’d rather get killed 12 times and risk looking silly in a winning game, as opposed to never trying and never dying but gutlessly losing every match 0-3 with my head in the sand.
I always like seeing your name on the enemy team as I know someone will be trying at least.
Many times I’ve tried to play my alliance in NA WSG and I just get so in-my-feels about the AFK’ers and the non-participants I give up and play Horde again, I’m not surprised its only gotten worse with transfers. Its been nice to play on EU where Alliance are actually playing the BG the entire time.
Having spent more hours doing pug pvp in this franchise than any sane human should ever admit to…
It’s always kind of funny, too… The people ramboing solo into mid are nearly universally just getting dumpstered OVER AND OVER AND OVER because they’re riding solo into a group of 2-3 rezzers from the opposing GY.
Yet when you question them, they invariably say they’re there to pvp and get kills… when every fight they’re in involves getting CCd and focus fired into the dirt, and always something like 4-27 by the end of the game.
When, if they could just activate more than one braincell at a time, they’d realize that objectives are the locations where it’s the absolute EASIEST to just rack up all the kills, specifically because everyone is focused on an objective, not defending themselves from you.
PUGS gonna PUG I suppose.
Dude 100%, today i saw so many paladins who dont dispel, mages that dont decurse, dot casters who think there is a damage meter running, rogues that dont sap or blind, and hardly cheap shot, and warriors who dont hamstring or charge, mages and locks that dont CC or interrupt.
tilting..
As a 20 year lock main… The ones who curse of agony everything first global raise my bloodpressure… especially with no follow up dots
Like the spell takes 24 seconds to work, and over HALF of the damage is done in the last 6 seconds.
It’s basically the dot/cc breaker effect from skull of impending doom for the first 18 seconds. Only useful if you’re trying to prevent a rogue from restealthing, or if you’re sending FULL dots on a target (in which case, it’s STILL the lowest priority dot).
Then again, of all the classes I’ve ever played… I feel like the average warlock in a bg understands the least about their class. You especially see it with nuke combos too… Big w/ travel time → short with no travel time–> instant. Like SM/Ruin Sbolt->searing pain->sburn People always skipping the searing pain part of that combo, when it alone is as if your sbolt/sburn combo had an extra 650 spellpower on it, not to mention it garuntees the sburn lands after sbolt instead of before and can take advantage of improved Sbolt, if the sbolt crit for an extra 20% damage.
it is however a very satisfying dot to put on people in alterac valley with improved curse, watching them mount away thinking they are safe when corruption drops to suddenly panic
Yeah it’s a great spell when you’re actually trying to send full dots on people… and even nf/conflag locks in naxx gear can probably 100-0 people with a full dot set, especially if the agony is amped.
So many use it as their only curse, however, when tongues, coExhaustion, and shadows/elements all should get more play.
So many locks would be doing more for their team if the only thing they did was put tongues on every enemy they see. Slowing a priest/paladin/shaman’s casts is invaluable and forces mages to use supporting GCD’s.
Yup! I love healing GOOD warlocks, its the warrior of casters because I can extend their mana and in turn damage almost indefinitely with T3plate.
But bad locks.., /rage
searing pain, immo, conflag having no travel time feels so good
Yesterday I 1 tapped a mage with a 1.3s immo conflag with zerker - felt so good - zugged down faster than he could hit counterspell
