For all of us Role-Players, can we get a bone here? Most of the toys that let us take a different shape (Naga, Arrakoa, Goren) are incredibly limited. They have obscenely long cooldowns and short run times, meaning you can only wear the costume for a little while. There’s obvious reasons why some of them shouldn’t be permanent; we don’t want trolls in the cities or in battlegrounds who take a bunch of different shapes. But small indie company blizzard is, I think they can easily fix it.
Let us use the suite of transformation toys with indefinite durations, breaking upon entering combat like -most- cosmetic visual effects, and make sure none of them are big or disruptive enough to block mailboxes and other things. I just want to roleplay as a Hozen in Orgrimmar and actually use the cool visual assets we’re given. This way you don’t have to make player races for all those wild body types like the aforementioned Naga and still let people use them in RP events.

I agree! There are so many races that probably will never make it as actual playable races but which people would love to RP, and frankly a toy letting you use the existing NPC models would probably be a low effort solution.
Broken, centaur, ethereals, taunka, mogu, arakkoa, lost ones, naga, geists, skeletons, dark rangers, demons… odds are these won’t become full fledged player races, especially the most monstrous or niche ones, but I really don’t see any downside at all for removing the CDs on toys that let you change your appearance.

I just want the Saberon appearance to have the same cooldown as the toy. I can’t even show off my mog in it, I don’t get why I can just randomly become a cat person for 5 minutes every hour.

What I want are more toys like Orb of the Sin’dorei or Mark of the Ashtongue. Toys that turn you into another race, even an unplayable race like Broken, but keep all of the gear you have equipped. Imagine that for role-play. Imagine being able to have a Vrykul model with all your gear customized. Or A Dark Ranger model or Druid of the Flame model. We need more toys like this for NPC only models and skins.

I sincerely don’t get the logic behind restricting toys so much.
They’re toys. Toys are supposed to be fun.

FUN?! THIS IS WARCRAFT! WAR IS NOT FUN!

Since they hate fun, maybe a potion that increased the duration of transformation effects but was removed in battlegrounds, raids etc. would fit their design philosophy.

I realized the other day that, by and large, the toys with the most forgiving cooldowns are the ones most easily used to grief people, and suddenly their mentality made sense.
