Absolutely, I think the change is overall a great thing for MM and any of those visual concerns can definitely be addressed further down the line.

They are completely dismissing all the time and effort that players have put into their characters and tossing it aside like it just doesn’t matter. The feedback has been overwhelmingly negative because they don’t understand what kind of relationship forms between hunters and their pets, only for some out of touch dev to just throw it all away on an abrupt and complete revamp in order to justify their position.
Eliminating pets from a pet class? Then they wonder why there’s negative feedback?
It’s still going to happen I’m sure, because of the “Daddy knows best” philosophy they have, but it’s not going to be popular, and will hurt the class as people drop it, and ruin things for players who enjoyed it.
MM with a pet was different than BM. In BM you direct the pet to do most of the work. In MM you do the work with some assistance from your pet. So “Go play BM!” doesn’t cut it. There’s ways to fix issues with MM without completely gutting the existing spec. What devs see as a fun new creative project, MM players see as their years long investment in a character just being tossed aside.

While I also dislike losing pets, I understand that this change is mostly for the M+ and Raid MMs who do not use pets, as it cuts into their DPS. I still think they should add the option to still summon a pet, in lieu of the eagle, so that we can still play our Sniper+Pet spec that we have been playing all these years. Switching to BM or SV just doesn’t have the same playstyle as a MM with a pet.

I am 100% for all the changes. It is about time MM can function without having to a pet. Having to summon a pet for BL just to waste time to dismiss, all the while losing dps has been a pain for years.
Also, love that we are getting the ability to change pet specs again.
That can be fixed without removing the option to have a pet. Just make the lust baseline for the hunter. Problem solved, no need for a complete revamp, or the stupid ghost eagle or whatever.

Look, youve already stated this is for selfish reasons and you couldnt give f all about anybody else. Even though we are trying to provide alternatives that could make both sides happy. But you and those like you couldnt give a darn.
Those of us who have enjoyed the pet style for years and decades will continue to fight this as much as we can.
And by the way, its still with a pet. Just not the pet of your choice, but theirs. So yeah.

You really need to wake up and realize that criticism is not negativity. Criticism has and always will be a way to move forward.

I never said they can’t, I just declared this isn’t the place for it.
I have no power over anybody who betrays my wishes, nor do I have any delusions of thinking otherwise.
So you can drop the pretense, because this isn’t the gotcha you think it is.
It comes out as negativity when those who are criticizing can’t civilly convey their thoughts in a manner that isn’t just personal attacks with extra steps.
