As far as I know, if it’s for gold, it’s allowed. If for real life currency, then yes there’s a risk of getting slapped with a suspension.

but then if someone paid and dont get the service Blizzard back you up ?

I don’t think so, but I could be wrong.

I think it falls under “unsupported transactions” but I’m not 100% on that.

Edit:

“Please note that boosting and carry services are unsupported.”

If you made a deal in game and paid then you can open a scam ticket. If you discussed anything outside of the game like discord then they can’t help you.

caveat emptor…

paid carries have been around about as long as the game has been around.

same thing with GDKP. around forever.

At their basic proposition, i think that they are fine.

strong players selling their ability to help less strong players. or in the case of GDKP runs, geared players getting paid to help others gear up.

in either case, there is an incentive for people to keep playing the game when they might otherwise drift away from it.

however, with the huge infusion of bot-generated gold in the game, many of these things have gotten out of hand.

classic got overrun with bought gold. GDKP prices went through the roof. items that sold for a few hundred gold went into the tens of thousands…crazy…

oh, then that means that you are on your own

that is terrible from Blizzard part, why would you allow shady trades that can go wrong so easily and dont do nothing about it ?

Because they don’t meddle with non-tos services, and banning carries across the board would be nigh-impossible to enforce, have extremely blurry lines (can I boost a friend for free? At what point does it go from playing together to a carry?) and generally not be worth the headache. But they also won’t chase down gold through five accounts, a vendor purchase, and the AH to get you your gold back.

They probably don’t want to allow it persay but such a large volume of players/guilds do it what are they gonna do to stop it?

So now people are saying “ban people “. Common knee jerk response as a player. As a business the hate would flow upon them so hard it would be another PR disaster and subs would drop.
