Selling boost/carries should be against ToS

Boosting is there since vanilla! [copium]

It’s what the trade chat is for! [copium]

It’s not that bad! It’s good for the game! [copium]

Think about the parents of 12 kids with 3 jobs that have 7 minutes per week, it’s their only way to get some good gear you prick! [copium]

There is definitely nothing shady about these big boosting communities that pay players to advertise them! [copium]

Whats copium?

It should be but it prolly won’t

That feeling when you eat too much bean dip and have to accept the next 6 hours of your life?

This. Has to be one of the stupidest “words” the internet is yet to produce.

What about …

What if I want to take off all my gear, flag pvp and walk around just outside the opposing factions city? May I pay 30 rogues to stealth follow and protect me?

sounds like someone overdosed

Anything you do for real money is against ToS. Anything you do in game for gold is just playing the game. Not our fault we didn’t know boosting as well in 06 as we do today.

The only way to ban gold boost/carries is to ban ALL boost/carries…which would kill the game

Soooo yeah, your idea is horrible.

On what though? I don’t understand the conflation of “coping” with “oppie-stuff.” (funny how you add a C to that word and it lets it go). One is a drug, the other is a mental mechanism, they have literally nothing in common. Not a damned thing if you knew anything at all about psychology or drugs for that matter. But have fun with your internet buzzwords.

in discord with some friends, read this thread and said “the whole copium thing, what the heck even is it? do people think it sounds cool?.. it doesn’t”

It’s also a direct blow to those who have suffered addiction and are seeing people make a joke out of it.

I miss the old days when Trade was used for trading goods, not services.

i am considering boosting players in m+ to pay for the legendary base item.

i’m sorry but wow did it not me lol

Copium is another word for rose-colored glasses or living in lala land. Unable to distinguish good from the bad. Its like an urban dictionary term. It has evolved from its original definition which is like a losing team coming up with a ton of excuses.

All bad is good - Guy who’s suffering from copium 19.

This game is not that bad! Why are people leaving? - Gamer who refuses to see flaws.

Blizzard will never outright ban gold carries because it generates revenue for them via tokens. It’s a sad reality but it is what it is.

Boosting has always been around. I remember GDKP runs back in Wrath.

The only difference is that now there is Blizzard sanction gold buying (token) w/ IRL money… which has flirted dangerously close to P2W.

But gold boosting has been around for a very very long time.

Great, so now outline exactly how you are going to enforce this new rule for the class. All that would change is it would be done thru sales on third party sites and discord, all place Blizzard has no authority over. The only way they could really stop it would be to engage in sting operations. Buy some carries, track all involved and then ban them.

But seeing they don’t do that now a days for those sold for RL cash, good luck with that. Like them or not, just saying they are against the rules won’t make them go away.

They’re doing that anyway. Third party usage has not stop but rather intensified to insane degrees.

Well that is because Blizzard just ignores it. If you just buy carries and logged all the accounts involved, then a month later just banned everything it would come to a screaming halt very quickly. Carry teams wouldn’t be willing to risk their accounts and once customers started getting banned, there would be less people interested in rolling the dice.
