Does anyone here know how to disable seeing the selfie camera shutter??? It is being spammed on Moonguard, everyone around the person doing it sees flashing black screen. My BF can’t play at all and currently has a migraine from trying to play through it.
( I did add to the thread in Bug forum, but am hoping there is some work around??)
Don’t think there is a work around. Since you’ve reported it to the bug report forums, that is all that can be done sadly. Let’s just hope there is a hotfix sooner rather than later.
Could I suggest also submitting this to accessibility@blizzard.com ? They don’t usually respond, but I feel like this is an accessibility issue Blizzard should be made aware of.
There isn’t a workaround currently, but there is a way to catch people who exploit the bug for the purpose of reporting. I was sent the information when it started happening in Dornogal.
Right click “combat log” > settings > message sources > check "friends " box.
Then navigate to the next tab, “message types” > spellcasting > check boxes for “starts”, “failures”, “successes”.
When someone does it, it will show a message in the log that has taken a selfie. /target said player and report for game disruption. Tedious process, but it will help GMs catch exploiters while they work on a bug fix. I can confirm that this can affect players with epilepsy, as it started causing symptoms for me.
