I was thinking last night they should make a variety of backgrounds for the character select screens that we can manually select. Maybe keep them along the lines of your race/class and mix in a few generic ones as well.
Would be kinda neat. Buuuuuut honestly I think it should just be left to the player to make up their own story.

Yeah there’s enough items that I would like to see development time be invested into.
It’s a cool idea and would be a nice touch but the generic ones are representative of the area your race comes from and are already pretty pretty imho.
This is a super cool idea! Would love to have more outdoor options like Nagrand or Azuremyst for Draenei. Would be cool if they had class or covenant ones, too.

If you didn’t notice the current background is basically to give you a feel for that races origins.
I’d like to at least have the option to use the ones from the Armory pages - class halls and covenants. Demon Hunters and Death Knights already have their class themed backgrounds, they should be able to pick their race’s if they want.
Yeah then all the blood elves will select the void elf one.
