No, classic entails only the base version of WoW before there were any expansions. There’s no other server that you’d be able to transfer to as no other version of WoW is available except the latest version of the game. They could eventually end up opening further expansion specific servers, but I have the feeling the idea would be you level a new character.

Not sure why you’d want to

Classic is all I want from WoW

Vanilla was designed by hand. Retail WoW is designed by analytics

Don’t worry either way it will be more fun than BFA you haven’t played WoW the way it was intended to be if you didn’t play play before cataclysm the game has been butchered over the years.

To clarify:

  1. If you’re asking about if you are going to be able to take a character leveled in classic, and transfer it to the RETAIL version of the game? No, that will not be allowed, primarily because players would try and use it as an exploit-loophole to farm vanilla only transmogs.

  2. If you’re asking about whether or not you would be able to take that classic toon, and potentially move it to a TBC server, should TBC servers exist somewhere down the road? That question has not been answered as of yet.

On the “pro” side of that debate, it would afford players an opportunity to authentically hold onto and progress their characters from vanilla into the TBC expansion (or potentially beyond).

On the “con” side of that debate, is the argument that it could cause some serious population problems on the now half abandoned Classic realms, and as such keeping even a hypothetical “TBC Classic” and “Vanilla Classic” entirely separate might be a better solution (Though a counter argument could also be made that they weren’t going to come back either way)

It’s largely an academic debate at this point, as Blizzard would almost assuredly need to see how successful Vanilla-Classic even is before considering a potential TBC-Classic realm

Serious answer, no.

What you describe is typically known as a progression server(sans the serer transfer part). Classic is just vanilla wow. As far as I know, they won’t be adding TBC or any expansions.

ahh well that’s disappointing

That is, apparently, a point of view it is possible to have.
