I found 3 Seething Orbs to obtain a three stack of the Insidious Insight buff. Afterwards I got the ‘You hear a dark hiss from the northen shrine…’ chat message, & went to the location. However, there was no chest there, & nothing to open. Please give me the mount since I spent HOURS finding these three orbs & have nothing to show for it. I have screenshots documenting everything that I stated, me having the buff & the chat msg.

same thing happened to me. tried server hopping in hopes the chest would be there but no. couple hrs wasted

Same here. I’ve also taken screenshots, tried reloading, tried disabling add-ons, tried leaving the zone… chest still didn’t show. I submitted a ticket and GM recommended I post here and hope it gets noticed and fixed in a future patch. Really sucks, as you say, a lot of time was invested.

go to the chest location and nothing is there.
i refreshed the buff (ie had 3 stacks, found another orb and refreshed the 3 stacks), received ‘You hear a dark hiss from the northen shrine…’ again still no chest
4 hours wasted
joining different groups to change zone, there would be no chest either

I found three seething orbs, have three stacks of the insidious insight debuff, had the “you hear a dark hiss from the northern shrine…” play for me, yet I cannot see the chest either.
I waited at the chest location for about ten minutes thinking “okay, maybe it just needs to respawn?”. As I sat there a pally with three stacks of the insidious insight debuff flew in & immediately looted the chest. I still was not able to see said chest & I talked to the pally after he looted it. We both did pretty much the exact same thing, i.e. looted three orbs for a three stack of the insidious insight debuff, then flew over to where the Seething Chest should be. I could not and still am not able to see said Seething Chest whereas the pally was able to see it without any issues.
I’ve tried reloading my ui, disabling all addons, restarting my game, binding the interact key to try and see if the chest is just invisible (this did not work either), I flew out of the area and back in, shard hopped, & still no chest.
This is extremely irritating as I just spent a few hours farming these orbs alongside other players. A pally farms orbs as well, exactly the same as I did, then he can see the chest, but I cannot. It definitely stings sitting at the empty chest spot for ten minutes only to have a pally fly in, loot it, then say it worked just fine for him.
I’ll submit a ticket as well. I want my mount from this.

Fun Fact for everyone on this thread, the final chest is 1 per realm and there’s a respawn time. I got the 3 orbs in a group of 40 players and then we’ve to jump to other realms looking for the chest, only a part of the raid got the mount.
I hope Blizzard help you with this, maybe its a bug or it’s intended to be 1 per realm if that’s the case, it’s another time sink with a bad desing.

Same as above, got my orbs, got the message however, no cache spawns.
I came here earlier because I had the same issue on my Paladin when doing the Seething Orbs. I got 3 out of 3 Orbs and a cache never appeared. I sat at where the cache is suppose to be until the debuff fell off. After that I logged onto my Rogue and re did 3 out of 3. For some reason my Rogue was able to open the cache.
I know some people above mention that it can only be looted by one person on that shard. Until a blue post comes out we really don’t know. But my guess is that it is not the case, only because I assume all orbs would go away after that one person opened the cache + you wouldn’t get the “hissing” text prompt when getting 3 out of 3 if that was the case.
So if anyone has a alt that is able to farm the Seething Slug, if you can come back and let me know if your alt was able to do it but not the original character you tried it on.
Just want to add here that the same thing happened today, farmed for about two and a half hours. Got three, no loot thing in the northern shrine.
Looking at wowhead and asking guildies/zone, the problem seems to happen when you click one of the seething orbs from the same location more than once.
The sad thing and I will prolly open a ticket, I have been farming for like 5 hours more, and I have yet to see another seething orb, so I wonder if I am flagged as completed without having the reward.

Tried again today and noticed no timer on the debuff but it went away in less than 10 minutes

Had the three orbs went to chest location and nothing there.
A lot of time wasted.
I want my mount!
