Blizzard if you read this, please help a brother out. I’m the type of guy who always tries to be a good dude but man this feels bad.
Work has been slow so I’ve been burning time mindlessly fishing all day. I had just spoke to my guild about how happy I was that I was almost 300 fishing and farming some fish to help buy my epic mount.
I hearthed to org and put my catches on the AH, on my way to get more lures I stopped and checked my mail. Before opening all my mail I was kicked off and suspended for 6 months.
If I had to guess this banning is done by a bot that looks for certain thresholds because had it been verified by a person they should have seen I was actively engaged.
I submitted an apparel but not to hopeful. It seems blizzard has tightened down resources as I wouldnt have been banned if someone verified. I’m kind of depressed right now because I was getting close to my epic mount and had committed so much time.

Blizzard seems to be ban happy ever since i came back to this game. I have been forum suspended twice now for extremely minor things, slightly off topic stuff but never racism or calling people names. I have been in game muted for disagreeing with a person about a issue he brought up in trade and i assume his friends or his guild all reported me.
When i played during vanilla a GM would actually give you as a paying customer some respect and whisper you 1st and this must have been policy at the time because it was the standard, after him contacting you and stating the issue then he would boot you or give you a chance to state your case. Now it is a swift boot as if this is a F2P game when it’s not.

If it was #nochanges then people wouldn’t be getting kicked off the game without warning like what happens now, which didn’t happen in vanilla WoW.

Damn if thats true that sucks mang.
Then again 90% of the time people that make these threads are later proven guilty.
If your innocent you will be unbanned so dont worry too much about your account.

Only a GM can apply such a suspension. On top of that, it very rarely has anything to do with what you were recently doing. It typically has to do with something long before the suspension hit as it takes time to investigate these sorts of things.

And it sure wasn’t because he did a lot of fishing.

Not likely…unless they weren’t at their computer for it…

If he got a 6 month ban I can tell you it had zero to do with fishing. Whatever he was doing was pretty major to get that kind of time or he is a serious repeat offender.
Blizzard doesn’t hand out 6 month suspensions just because.

Not telling us the whole story.

Yup. Unless he was fishing with a bot, and they’re not banning you for six months without a human investigating.
This just makes me afraid to fish while watching netflix all day. Usually fishermen can fish for hours. Why would they just outright ban you because you spent the day fishing. x.x
Because you only got half of the story.
They didn’t. If Blizzard banned for doing one thing a lot we would all be banned. OP isn’t giving you the full story and certainly isn’t giving you the reason they were banned.

Simply put, they didn’t. The OP is not giving the whole story. It’s completely fine to fish all day. On top of that, their ban likely has zero to do with their recent fishing and more to do with something they were doing at a completely different time.
Blizz doesn’t suspend people for what they’re doing in the moment. They review their logs and apply account suspensions or bans due to previous in-game actions.

I feel you’re only posting this in a last ditch effort to save face. You’re a cheater. Accept the fact you were caught…I doubt Blizz gives out 6 month bans without digging into it.
