Hi all, my beloved Shadowed Unit Frames no longer works and I’m not coping with the default ui. Looking for the same clean elegant look that SUF has or something similar and minimalist. Suggestions welcome!
(Also if anyone has info on future of SUF that also welcome to know)

I currently use SUF perfectly fine! I can’t live without it myself.
There’s a github update, listed in the curse page. There’s been reports that it has some errors, like /suf command not working.
I currently use a fan update that was posted in the comments a while ago, I am unsure of the date as I’ve been through so many addons trying to piece my UI back together with duct tape and a prayer. 
The one I am using, I have had zero issues with. If you look into the comments, I hope you find whichever one works for you!
I’m using SUF just fine. What is not working. It is updated for 12.0.

Still throws errors, but it’s also still a work in progress.
Thank you for reply. I did some searching and find that selph_eu did try and support retail SUF on sourceforge but this now appears to be the github project. For the moment, its too much energy to sort this (I also heard ppl getting a similar look with pitbull), the Blizzard UI makes retail not a pleasant playing experience so I got a refund on Midnight. Enjoying my time with a working SUF on tbc anniv however.

Well I did give it a go. It is retail SUF I am after. SUF works fine on classic and anniversary. Really did want to do Midnight but this looks like the first expac I will miss since 2007. Tried the Github version, incompatible. Similarly tried retail CurseForge version of Pitbull and Elvui variant XVui - all incompatible. Player UI is so fundamental, can’t believe Blizz just killed off ppl’s ability to customise without offering something comparable of their own.
There are at least a dozen working unit frame addons for Midnight…
That’s what the most recent update is on the github on the SUF curse page. What exactly did you download?
I’ve been using it and it works just fine. Willing to help you figure it out because it seems essential to your gameplay, which I completely understand.
I think I must be looking in the wrong place, because I am at the Github fork Nevcairiel/ShadowedUnitFrames with a mix of classic and retail versions. And the latest version retail version is 4.4.14, 25-12-03, is the incompatible one. Thank you for patience!

It can still throw errors, but I haven’t noticed anything detrimental with my setup. The occasional /reload can never hurt. And you are more than welcome!

Glad you got this worked out. I was using Discord Unit Frames and that project is now dead, so I’m stuck trying to figure out a new UI. Mostly I miss DUF’s full-body 3D models that I was using for the character and target portraits. Plus the excellent customization for those frames (health and mana bars and everything else really…) Can’t find any working unit frames addon that offers that.

SUF can use 3D char portraits (which I use) but they are only from the shoulders up. I hope you find a solution. I have just now re-bought Midnight. So I will not be missing the expac
