Seeds in ED zone

I was doing some dailies yesterday and when I started the Emerald Bounty event I plant a blue or purple seed. I get the rewards then try for a second or third time the rewards aren’t there after the bounty.

Does it just work just once a day per character, to get the rewards? Or is it unlimited as long as you have plenty of seeds? I just can’t see wasting them if there’s no point of planting them in different spots.

The rep gets mostly throttled after five or so seeds, but as far as I know you can farm everything else from them as long as you have the seeds to plant and dewdrops to feed them.

The drop rates for mounts and battle pets off the blue and purple seeds are abysmal, expect crafting reagents for the most part.
