Seed of corruption removal?

So what exactly is going to happen that i can mass dot targets or am i stuck tab targeting corruption on everything again?

Seed of Corruption has not been removed.
Seed “spamming” has.

Seed is now purely to mass-apply Corruption, instead of spamming SoC in AOE for damage you’ll now press MR, regardless if it’s ST or AOE.

i still hate that.

i would much rather they just turn SOC back into what it used to be where it detonated after noather instance was applied. i really just hate using MR all the time. it feels…not like affliction at all

It really, really helps with the structure of the tree. Not being speced into Seed doesn’t cripple your AOE capabilities.

But yeah, Seed is a more enjoyable ability to spam visually. The “pop” was satisfying.

I haven’t looked at these changes, but this would seems like bad design to limit how often we can spam SoC. Or, I just don’t understand the mindset.

One of the only satisfying things about playing Affliction, is the ability to line up Seeds on multiple targets, and cause a cascade of explosions.

Maybe, Warlocks need a new spell that fills that niche.

Like, Cast Spell X, initial target is dotted and/or debuffed, after x seconds/ticks, or triggered event, the dot spreads to nearby enemies. Cast primary spell again and the dot/debuff explodes on all targets effected by that spell (all at once, or cascading).

There’s something really appealing about a wizard/caster type being able to snap their fingers and cause a huge explosion… But, I am Destruction at heart, so there is that.
