See! I told you guys about Torghast

I know. Like I said “the concept itself is fine. It’s the execution that worries me.”

And I think that’s a fair thing to be concerned about.

As to coalescing … those are easy to get. Do both assaults and you’ll get like around 16k / week. on top of a chance at gear.

Though being a priest does make it harder. That’s why you need to grab a friend who is a meat shield. A Hunter, Warlock or a Frost DK could also help make the assaults easier due to meat shields that can be “replaced” easily enough or the durability that Frost DK (well, mine is durable) has in world content.

The scary thing is that they are basically making an entire expansion out of patch 8.3 model.

That is very worrisome.

That explains the sudden forum polls a few months ago.

it isn’t a surprise because:

  1. ion lies, and is on record doing it. they can’t even get made and ban me for saying it as it is common knowledge.
  2. did anyone actually believe there would be no timers :man_shrugging:
  3. they are incapable of any creativity and can only use frustration, tedium, and gimmicks such as timers to replace any sort of real challenge.

Yeah. He was recorded saying he was going to add a soft timer.

After 15 years you would think people would remember that what is said at blizzcon and what is said in alpha is not what usually ends up in final build.

We have this same conversation every expansion.

I don’t hate the idea of a soft timer.

Never hated the idea of a timer, just felt it was kinda pointless really. Feel like stacking debuffs and extra packs of dudes hitting you out of combat are kinda irritating but if they’re not super frequent then that’s fine. So common that they stop you healing up once combat ends or eating food? That’s really frustrating. So common they stop you sitting around waiting for lust and all your CDs? Don’t care since I don’t do it.

No

I said, “one saying “bfa sucks” with little to no progress in bfa vs the one who does is a difference”

I don’t care if you get to 100 by mission table, guy ate whatever Blizzard handed to him, and he has total right to voice out without any judgement

Torghast is going to be very spec dependent. I don’t see many healers in the beta that are doing well solo.

Yep, must be a secret feature.

what a let down. I hate timers in games. Torghast was my most wanted feature and now they ruined it.

Horrific visions are fun and suffer from lack of unique content. Plus torghast will have powerups to make it more fun than just a speedrun clear. It’s gonna be fun if they’ll work on it properly

This strikes me as an issue of rushed expansions. They start development of new expansions halfway through the current one.

Id honestly prefer if they just finished an expansion before starting the next, but of course that would mean a longer wait.

I feel like we should wait and see, i mean next year is still a ways off.

I’ll believe that they release Shadowlands this year when i see a official launch announcement with a date set in stone. Until then Shadowlands isn’t until next year. :frowning:

Its so stark/different how today’s devs treat their players/customers, vs the devs of past.

Solo preist questing… upside to questing as disc, i never die :joy:

But yeah i know you can do 16k just when your getting to 6/8 pages needed for the next upgrade x_x

You have said unless you have done the content, them saying something negative about the content you don’t see a valid, you see me complaining about Pathfinder as valid as i have done it, but not someone who refuses to.

That’s why i said that. If someone tries something, be it just messing with their neck and azerite even a little, and decides “i don’t like this system, it doesn’t feel fun, i dont want to do this all xpac” that’s a valid complaint because its their opinion.

While blizz dose not (nor should they) balance and design the game around the GD forum. Everyone who plays should be allowed to voice their frustration. Since it is of their personal play.

leveling the necklace once doesn’t make them an expert on why the azerite grind sucks

now if they too had gone to 100, heck at least 95, yes they can say what they want to say

someone only got 1 objective done in pathfinder and says “Pathfinder sucks” isn’t a valid argument while the one who gotten it does

Not hardly. Lots of people quit over it. They came back because of the lame hype that was going out about how 8.3 was going to save bfa! They were planning on staying as long as it was fun, and almost immediately we started seeing threads “I can’t do this. I’ll be back…sometime.”

I don’t know why devs think that making casuals feel really bad about the game is good for the game. But they’re working really hard on that.

It looks like Torghast is it. What other content is there for casuals to do that people who rejected horrific visions will actually find acceptable?

The only place I see people playing now is old content.

This is normal in game development, not sure what you uncovered OP. A dev literally said in an interview with Preach that Horrific Visions was a test for Torghast.

They test things earlier to see how it pans out.

It’s how … development works.

Can you stop lumping me in with all the casuals you assume are horrible players and can’t handle content
