Security is low

The security on the servers are low

The passwords should be reset by the admins to recover stolen account that gold sellers have not used if they are not reset correctly in a timely fashion

My password is 5 years old now and the server has not asked me to reset it unlike my bank account does

My battle.net account is setup with all the security features that blizzard offer

It be nice if blizzard partnered up with google to setup mail accounts because they use the same security feature e.g Authicator and phone messages

If they have your passwords they can reset everything and steal your account

Authicator should be compulsory by now for god sake the game is 15 years old everyone has a smart phone if u don’t u are lost

My account is 100% gold seller proof

Hell Westpac in Australia locks the bank account if u buy something from blizzard I had to change banks

Then why are you whining about the security measures other people do or do not choose to utilize?

Yep. Got one of those way back when and I still use it. Haven’t had a single issue since.

Considering how much control Google has … I’d rather not give htem more information. Oh, and trying to say Google is secure …

I’ve had a gmail account for a LONG time. The ONLY thing they’ve ever asked me to do is add a phone number to the account.

I have an extremely obscure password that you’d only ever guess if you were part of a small 5 man group from a decade ago. Yes, its that obscure. And its done in ā€œleetā€ speak. IE swapping letters for !@#^ and numbers.

They’ve never once asked me to replace my email password. And I’ve had a gmail account since gmail was still in BETA.

I have one and the only people who actively have my number are … my doctor, my family, and I think a few places I’ve ordered delivery from. That’s it.

I’m not going to trust activision with my phone number!

It’s better for everyone to ignore google if they can help it but it is very beneficial to have an authenticator (physical or otherwise).

Two-factor authentication is vital. If you don’t have it, you’re trying to lose your account and all of the information stored on it.

Speaking as a computer tech, simply having a phone just for two-factor is priceless. It’s almost mandatory. I don’t trust sites or services that don’t offer it.

Security on the servers? I mean, it’s good enough. Authenticators are the only thing you really need to be ā€˜secure’ on your account in WoW.

If you have two factor authentication on your account they need to email you whenever there’s a failed login attempt on your account. Some people don’t know their password has been compromised until they remove an authenticator due to a damaged phone or w/e
