So this weekly chest that you loot over by the Suffusion area has a nasty bug, On my baby Monk I looted it with the 3 keys for the weekly loot and to my surprise I received an offspec item, an intellect offhand which is really not useful since my spec and spec choice is set to Windwalker but apparently this loot table is not honoring my loot spec and choice.
Not a bug; working as designed.
Loot from most sources will drop for any specialization your class can play, regardless of your choice of Loot Specialization. This includes World and Daily Quest rewards and loot containers like tokens and bags, unless otherwise specified on the container.
Basically, loot spec doesn’t apply to world content, or really anything besides instanced content and the Vault.
It’s pretty clear you think this should be otherwise, but complaining in this particular forum won’t change anything. QA is responsible for forwarding bug reports posted here to the developers, but they won’t forward anything if the behavior being complained about is intentional. It’s not a bug if the developer wanted it to be that way, no matter how the players may feel about it.
Instead, this should be a suggestion to ask the developers to reconsider that specific design choice, and suggestions go in other forums like General Discussion. (Or can be submitted using the in-game suggestion feedback feature.)
calm down, I wasn’t complaining I just figured it was broken. I have managed to find other sources of gear. My thought was since it wasn’t something you can do all the time it would at least drop something useful but thank you for the information.
“Complain” isn’t the best word, but I couldn’t find anything better.
Still, you have the facts and you’ve worked around the issue so happy ending, I guess.
You can still suggest the devs change this if you feel like doing so.
No point in a suggestion since the expansion is pretty much over
